I don't consider myself a 'handy' person. I'm pretty intimidated by simple tasks around the house but with the help of YouTube I have pulled off changing a waste disposal unit and a few other things, so I bought this thing. But then the idea of drilling large holes in my walls proper scared me. So much so that six months after buying this, it was still lying around the house not hiding the prominent cables in our family room. I wrote an ad to sell it cheap on FB marketplace and then thought, ok, maybe you should at least try. To cut a long story short - kudos to Echogear - I did it, it works, it looks great. One power cable, 2 HDMI's and three audio cables GONE. I wouldn't say that it was easy (it took me 3 hours rather than whatever they say on the listing) and it was nerve-wracking, but it's not complicated and the instructions are clear and well-written. I'm very, very happy with the outcome. There's something a bit magical about the floating TV and speaker look. One tip: I wish they emphasized the need to plan the length of your wires *very* carefully. It will probably be longer than the old cables you were using before. I would recommend using masking tape to tape a piece of string along the route to get an accurate idea of the length of *each* cable that you need. Because of the order that you install things it's VERY hard to change out a cable once the sockets are installed (you're very likely to lose the little locking 'wings' inside your wall), so you'll really want to make sure.

This kit is wonderful. I had one small issue with the included cutter - there is a set screw that holds that center drill bit in place, and it wasn't tight enough. But once I tightened it, all was well. Other than that, it installed quickly and easily and the result is neat and professional looking, even though I am no professional. Highly recommended. Just be aware that it does not include an HDMI cable. So make sure you have one on hand if it will be needed for your installation.

My only suggestion would be to include more “advice” in the instructions. Like, how far from the outlet we should cut into the wall. (Above, below and on each side.) I know outlet boxes vary in size, but even just having a standard suggestion may have helped. Especially for those of us who are unfamiliar with what’s happening behind the drywall. Luckily my husband was able to McGuyver it with a little extra trimming and wall putty. We can’t even see our mistake anymore! Overall, I’m glad we got it because that cord was bothering me!

Great fit and finish. Looks very professional and overall was pretty easy to install. The only part that is hard is when you have to fish the actual wires behind the wall from top to bottom - for this I would HIGHLY recommend picking up a fishing line from home depot or something and then fish the wires through the walls otherwise its next to impossible. Product itself has held up very well and is exactly as described. I really appreciated the saw drill attachment they provide as it makes this entire process very easy and provides professional results.

Great product, the included drill bit made drilling in my drywall easy. Fishing through insulation was tricky but the cord is thick and semi sturdy to allow you to finesse it through.

Couldn't be easier! With everything that you need included in the box, it was super easy to install. Awaiting delivery of longer HDMI cables to seal the deal, but as far as this cable management kit goes, totally satisfied.

This worked out perfectly, but my first attempt hooked main electrical wires in the wall. I did use a stud electrical wire finder and saw electrical lines were nearby, but thought I was clear. Pulling back up was pulling these cables and the amount of insulation was blocking going down. I cut a 3rd hole in the drywall to work around the these cables. I also ran a line of string with the video cable so I can pull future video cables. I’ll need to add more insulation in the 3rd hole location before reattaching this cutout adding some paint to hide the hole. This is a shared common wall in a Condo, which might explain the tremendous amount of insulation. I recommend this kit, it will make your living room look much less cluttered. Be prepared for unseen problems and additional time to install. I made several trips to the hardware store for cutting tool, tie wraps, etc.

Great for hiding the power and HDMI cables for a wall mounted TV. Gives a nice neat look to the TV wall with no cables hanging along the wall under the TV. Installation wasn't bad.... but those with little home improvement esperience might want to hire an installer. Very satisfied with the product so far.
