In the past, I was a store manager for a shoe store that carried many brands: Timberlands, ECCOs, Birkenstocks, etc. ECCO shoes were the highest quality shoe we had at the time. Zoom to the present, and I needed a comfortable, high top leather shoe that would look okay for an office setting. Lo and behold, the ECCO Men's Soft 7 City High Top Sneaker ended up being my choice. I'm happy with everything, except the sizing. I usually buy men's 8.5 regular size shoes, and the only option for the ECCO sneaker was 8-8.5. I have a considerable amount of toe room that I wasn't expecting from a shoe that is advertised for those between 8 and 8.5. My foot slides to the front of the shoes, unless I have thick socks and pull the laces very tight. Despite that, I'm still very happy with this purchase. ... show more

The laces have to be undone a fair amount to get the shoe on and off. Also, the laces dont feed well through the eyelets meaning it takes a minute to lace them up. Other than this issue they are nice shoes.

These are great shoes and look really cool especially with a pair if jeans. They are pretty expensive but they are worth the money. Ecco shoes are known for being high quality and this pair is no exception. I really like Ecco shoes, but this version runs larger than the other styles. Gave me blisters and had to purchase inserts. It took me a while to figure out why my heel kept slipping. It definitely was the shoe sizing that was off.
