Updated: April 2020 I’m still wearing the original pair from a few years ago. If taken care of with leather cleaning , these shoes can last many years. I’ve since purchased two of the exact same shoe waiting to be used when my current pair is ready to be retired. I’ve even purchased a few blue pairs and one black pair. These are my favorite and most comfortable dress shoes in my closet. These get my TOP choice recommendation above all my dress shoes. I've been wearing Ecco shoes for about 20 years because of severe lower back issues. They were the only shoes that didn't hurt by back when standing for long periods. I'm sure they're are others now, but I'm sticking with these. This iteration is comfortable and seems true to size. There is a little more room in the toe that I'm used to, but by no means would I consider them too big. ... show more

Very comfortable out of the box. No need for break-in. The toe box comes in quickly right at little toe so I have reinforced the inner liner with tape to prevent premature wear through of the liner in that location.
