The media could not be loaded. My son wanted to switch to the sax for band next year and asked if I could purchase him one to practice on this summer. This was perfect! He’s a beginner and was able to start playing right away. I’m not sure what it’s supposed to sound like but it’s sounding great to me lol. The bag is durable and well made.

My daughter had been using my horn from high school and when she got to high school herself we got her this one as a gift. It’s a Great horn for the price! My daughter get compliments all the time when on her new Saxophone. The gold embellishments are very pretty on the bell and body. The sound is nice not sharp or harsh. My only wish is the case to be more sturdy and the mouth piece that is came with to be of better quality too.

There is a saying, you get what you pay for. Thing is, you sometimes have to make due with your budget. Reed instruments are a pretty niche case. This cheap saxophone is just that, Cheap. Just like my cheap clarinet, it's where you spend your time and money that counts. Toss the reeds and mouthpiece that ships with this to the storage for an emergency, investment in a Yamaha 3C mouthpiece and some quality reeds, and handle the instrument with care, and it will reward you for it. The intonnation is great, notes are within an acceptable range of sharp and flat variance, and unless you are a professional doing this for a living, this saxophone will work quite well for even moderate concerts.

Off the bat everything looked nice for a starter saxophone. Came with the accessories listed however my issue and reason for the 1 star is that not all the keys work correctly. For example, the octave key opens with a SI and a LA (sorry I only know my notes like this) but once I play a SOL, or FA, or MI, or RE the octave will not open. The mechanism to open the octave seems loose but idk how to do the fix myself and I’ve heard local shops won’t even touch these type of saxophones bc they are not the highest quality. I was excited but what’s the point of an instrument that doesn’t play correctly if you don’t intend to have a $200 ornament? Idk if this is something the seller can fix or help with.

I ordered silver, they sent rose with blue-green key caps. Took the mouthpiece apart to place the reed, noticed that the ligature is all bent and misshapen. You really have to wrestle with the reed to keep it straight. I figure I’ll just tighten it up and it will conform to the mouthpiece shape.. nope. Because the ligature screws are cheap plastic, the moment you put much torque on them, they start to ‘pop’ and jump out of their grooves. But, horn sounds pretty good. Nothing appears bent on delivery. Pads all line up. I ordered a new mouthpiece so should be good to go…. but still rose colored. Maybe it’ll grow on me.
