Sub to this for my kids this past Christmas as a way to spend more time getting them involved in the cooking process and they've loved it! Not every meal mind you, but they've gone from being picky for no reason to being able to articulate what they like about a meal, and what they did not like. They've also tried a lot of dishes they would otherwise have turned their noses up at. My oldest does very well but the youngest (5) is far less interested, so maybe use that as an age metric. Also we had one box go missing in shipment (said delivered, was not in box or at house) and Eat2Expore was super fast and friendly in assisting getting that sorted out. Can I promise you'll love every dish? No. Can I promise you will explore new things, have fun with your kids as you do so? Absolutely! 5/5

With such large GLUTEN FREE advertisement on the initial website page, one would think the box would be ok for those with gluten intolerances or Celiac disease. However, the fine print states otherwise. After contacting the company, they said I should use my best judgement if I had gluten issues...meaning they could not guarantee it was gluten free. So my best judgement would say for them to remove the large Gluten Free advertisement if they are not 100% sure it's Gluten Free. Seems reasonable.

My daughters are 12 and are enjoying learning how to cook dishes from around the world. The Ethiopian box we received this month they were super excited to make and we enjoyed a delicious dinner. We are looking forward to seeing what we get next month!

My family has been doing Eat2Explore for over a year now. We started on Amazon and then switched over to the actual company site. We have really enjoyed doing it and have liked all of the recipes. It has been a great experience for our kids. We love trying all of the new dishes and exploring other cultures through cuisine. I've paired some of the meals up with our country of study in home school. We do think it is a bit expensive for what you get. I noticed a reviewer saying that you get one packet of spices which is not accurate. You usually get three or four packets (sometimes bottles) of spices, seasonings, sauces, etc. You also get a small kitchen tool, along with the recipes and shopping lists. If you sign up through their site, they sometimes offer deals, and we have done the year subscription with a Black Friday discount two years in a row now (currently on our second year). We have been disappointed this year as we have been receiving duplicate boxes of past meals. Because of this, we have decided to not do a year subscription next year. I looked at their site and as of now, they only add 2 new boxes every year. For the price, we didn't want kits that we have already done. These kits are in no way a cheap meal (they provide the recipes and harder to find seasonings and you provide pantry staple seasonings and all of the food). They are for exploring other cultures (and other parts of the U.S. I might add). We only did it for a few months through Amazon and then a full year and now into our second year, we have already received 3-4 duplicate boxes of past kits. Each kit has recipes for several meals but we make them all at once and invite other family to join us. Everyone has loved the meals. I'm sad to not do it in the future, but there just aren't enough meal kits to sustain keeping the subscription. Their customer service has been good when we've received broken spice packets, etc. I recommend this for anyone who wants to make and try new foods. It's not cheap though, so I would keep that in mind. Every kit offers vegetarian alternatives with the recipes, which is nice.

This was a present for my daughter in law and granddaughter. Her 1st month international package was New York. Not very international. And she said it didn’t have any kid things included. Also one of the recipes was a dessert, not dinner. Just very disappointed

We used to enjoy this as a fun way to experience geography. Because they used to send you the spice and sauce recipes after purchase upon request so you could remake them which was already annoying but doable. They recently decided the spices and sauces are "proprietary" so you can only use these recipes again if you buy the mixes from them, so $12.50 kit or upwards of $5 for a recipe that serves 2-4. In the recipes they sent me before they changed their terms they were all spices we already owned. I cannot justify continuing if I am purchasing recipes I can only make once without an additional charge. Prior to this change I would have given the box a 4 star review (I ordered single kits not a subscription).

First, let me say that the product is good. We ordered a five box collection to try out. I also ordered a 3 month subscription. We did not realize that the company would send us duplications. We opened all of the boxes to make sure they were duplicated. They were. Since we had opened the boxes, we could not return them for replacement. We feel we lost the cost of the subscription. The items were good, so it is not a total loss. The ingredients, however, cannot be replaced except through their website. It is a one time shot. Don’t expect to use the recipes again. There are better options available.

I bought this to do with my 19 year old with Autism The first one was really good. We received the UK. But they second was NYC not kid friendly in my opinion. The Pasta dish has so many steps it took us awhile. Haven't made the other two NYC recipes yet Interested in the 3rd month. The company is pretty easy to get a hold of. I've sent them a message. We will see
