I don't know why so many people left bad reviews. These are quite heavy, silky smooth and you can not see through them. They aren't true blackout curtains though I got white ones, I would thi k dark curtains would keep out most light. All in all I am VERY happy with the quality and price. My wife and I are getting up there in age now and as empty nesters living free of having to mow the lawn, do the snow shoveling, etc. in a small apartment. We have been doing a bit of work around the place in order to refresh it, update it and generally make it our own place. While it is a two bedroom apartment it is small. The second bedroom I have chosen to convert into a music room of sorts. I primarily choose to listen to headphones so that my wife can enjoy watching TV at the same time in the living room. I purchased this rug 25 years ago which I have always loved and wanted to replace some old curtains which I thought would work with the rug colors. I chose these curtains in an orange color. They are thich curtains and do an excellent job of knocking down the glare of the sun. I am really impressed with them given the modest cost, so I purchased them in gray for the living room. I highly recommend these curtains to anyone not wishing to pay the high cost of drapes. They sure look nicer than those cheap vinyl blinds. The new carpet is going in as I type and I will have a brand new living room by the end of the day. Nice! ... show more
