This cover is very thick, durable and will definitely hold throughout a rainfall. It did not seep through the material at all when we had the rainfall. Not even a drop of rain. The water gathered in an area of the cover, but did not go through. After the rain, to drain the water collected in the pocketed area, we hardly moved the cover and all the water flowed like a waterfall. It was so easy. I have an L shaped deck sectional with ottoman I bought at Costco. See photos for the set and the cover over it to give you an idea of size. Although water resistant I try to cover it when it rains. Ironically Costco didn’t have a cover that fit. I went through the first summer using a large plastic tarp. Not a great solution as I needed things to weight it down and had to periodically drain the top off in heavier downpours. I ordered two from Amazon. This one and another both under $40. As soon as I opened them I saw this one was far heavier. So while its more cumbersome it’s also bigger and appears thicker. The other one was very snug and barely fot so I assume it would have ripped from all the one and off. My set is 108” by 83” and this went on easily at 110” by 84”. While it’s heavy that’s fine for me. It comes in a clear bag that zips, kind of like a comforter set, but I don’t see being able to fold it back up again that tight. I basically fold it up somewhat and then get it to where its small enough to handle under one arm. It also has straps at each corner and a ling strap for underneath. It has a nylon pull on each short side. Not really needed but a great way to not have to guess which are the long sides. I’ll update this review after a rainstorm, and again in/after winter. ... show more

Update: Weatherproof but not waterproof, several hours of rain have soaked it pretty good. Fabric is heavy and cover is well made and sturdy. It's about an inch or so short of advertised size, so doesn't fit as snug as I hoped. It's definitely rain resistant, dries out quickly and seems to be stain resistant. Dogs got up on it unexpectedly, and no damage! ... show more

Has been outdoors for 1 month, heavy summer sun 12 hrs/day and lots of rain in between. It will be outside covering the table/chairs all year. Heavy duty, very well made. Easy to use/has a handle on 2 sides, covers the table and 6 chairs completely.
