This is a good bat with a ton of pop. It definitely takes quite a few swings to break the bat in but once broken in the sweet spot is pretty good and the exit velo is awesome. The swing weight is fairly balanced for a -8. The soft power boost knob is great as long as you wear batting gloves, otherwise it can cause blisters if you're taking a lot of BP. Overall I really like the bat but it unfortunately developed a crack after a few months of use. I would hope for better durability but USSSA composite bats are notoriously fragile. The bat is still under the manufacturer 1 year warranty so I'll be sending it back for a replacement. ... show more

My son was hitting with the Mariachi Cat 7 30" -10 which is a balanced bat and has a ton of pop. Figured we'd try the Easton Hype ADV for sub 200 price. Got the 30" -10. First day hitting on the bat out of the wrapper and saw increased exit velo and 5 to 10 foot increase when comparing with three buckets of balls. He felt the bat is a bit endloaded which he prefers. This will be his new game bat. Highly recommend for the money. There is better, but not for the same money! ... show more

We’ve been through Dimarini CFs and Glitches - all of them broke. This is THE, and I mean THE only two piece composite that my 12U son has used that didn’t break, lasted an entire travel ball season, and got hotter throughout this years season. We had kids who were swinging Dimarinis - whose bats broke and couldn’t get them replaced in a reasonable time - all started swinging this bat for the remainder of the season. We had 3 dingers in a single game off of this bat alone. And it’s hotter than when my son unwrapped it still! Easton is on to something with the revitalization of the TCT composite and their barrel connections. It’s SUPER durable and crazy hot - buy it! ... show more

It is the bat we ordered but the packaging was destroyed and the brand new $80 dollar bat was damaged in multiple places. My son was excited but my wife wasn't. I was left a bit unimpressed as this was supposed to be a brand new item.
