The shoe is well made but be sure you size up a half size and get wide width. My daughter does not have wide feet but she needed it for this shoe. Purchased this for my daughter for her required school uniform. Same shoe but 25% less than the cost through the shoe store! A very sturdy shoe that fits her wider footbed very well. Went up a size (usually an 8, bought an 8.5) per other’s recommendations.

I owned a pair of these for 5 plus years and loved them. Unfortunately, the sole split and although the leather upper was still good; they were no longer wearable. I ordered these to replace my old pair. I ordered the same size as my Eastland boots, which are a size 9. I tried the new pair on when they arrived. My toes were at the end of the shoe, and they were snug fitting (without socks). The size 9 is going back and I am ordering a 9.5. Hopefully, they will fit when they arrive.     • Way to small.

I have small narrow feet, normally wear a 5.5 or 6, wanted to wear with bulky socks so ordered 6.5 I was able to get my right foot in wearing a peds, the left foot on the other hand I was not able to slide in at all. Shoe uppers are very stiff. The bottom I thought would be more rubbery but they are rigid as well almost like hard plastic, I was concerned that you could slip on wet or icy pavement. I really wanted to love these shoes as I had something similar that were quite comfortable and a little flexible. These look nice but are super tight. I did also order a size 7 after I read some of the reviews saying they were tight and they too were just as narrow as the 6.5 just a little longer in the toe and heel area. For those that want to know if you can take out insole to replace with orthotics, yes you can. As for having the shoe stretched , I didn’t want to go to all the fuss and still have a very stiff shoe that needed to be broken in. My other shoes didn’t have to have that done to them, they were comfortable from the beginning. The size 6.5 arrived without plastic baggies covering each shoe, I didn’t find that a problem until I saw that the size 7’s were expertly wrapped and bagged, meaning that I must have received a returned item. Don’t mind that considering you are purchasing an online product. Just putting it out there after all this is a review. Would like to try a 6.5 wide but they are not available at this time. ... show more

Great fit for my size 8 wide feet. Material is soft enough that I had no pain or discomfort when I wore them for an entire evening the first time I tried them on. I actually forgot I was wearing new shoes.

The shoes are comfortable but snug. I bought a 9W and probably needed a 9.5W in this shoe. I’m very satisfied with the quality of the shoes.

    • Go up half a size if you wear thick socks
Size: 8 Color: Brown
My feet are not wide but these shoes are a little tight and rubbed my small toe when I first got them. I tend to wear thick socks, so if you wear thin socks, you may not have this problem. The shoes are well made and fit very well everywhere else. I used stretchers to give myself a tiny bit more room in the toes and they seem fine now. They look like they should hold up very well and continue to look nice for a long time. The finish is waxed and I suspect that they might waterspot but I don't think that it will be difficult to blend the water spots with a little wax. The soles are nice and thick with good traction, and do well on uneven, rocky surfaces. ... show more

I originally ordered an 8 regular for my daughter. She said that it was too tight. So i ordered the wide width instead. She said those fit alot better. She does not have a wide foot either. I did ordered a half size up like the other reviews mentioned.
