This is a very sturdy recorder with easy finger placement. Brought back memories of my childhood when I first learned how to play. I’m now teaching my kids how to play their own recorders. It’s a great pastime during quarantine. It is also a great beginner instrument that we can afford to get for each of our 5 kids, with room to store them when not in use. My oldest daughter can easily take what she’s learning music-wise and apply it to her piano. As for this particular brand, I’m very happy with it. It’s much sturdier than the cheap plastic one that I grew up with. The notes sound very nice. The finger placements are the perfect size for my fingers. That’s saying a lot since I have very short fingers. (A pianist never shall I be.) I love the pouch that it’s stored in. I keep mine in my guitar case. The recorder pouch helps protect both instruments while saving space. Instead of using the instructions that came with the instrument, my kids and I use the Star Wars for Recorder songbook by Easy Recorder Songbook and also the Disney Songbook by Super Easy Songbook. The Star Wars book shows finger placement while the Disney book has additional songs that the kids love. Between both books, the kids are learning quick, not only on how to hold their fingers for the notes, but also how to read sheet music. ... show more
