This beautiful Burgundy comforter is exactly as it is pictured in the ad, the color is rich and deep, my photos are not exactly true and do not do it justice ... the oversized Queen drapes well over the sides and bottom, it keeps me warm at night... it's new, I've just slept with it a few nights and it's October as I write this, so I don't know how it will perform in Summer, but I believe it would be versatile enough for any season ... I normally wake up a little bit sweaty. but not so much with this comforter, so it does breathe well, and that is what I was looking for in bedding ... I washed it in cold water and there was no loss of color... it is soft to the touch and doesn't need any "breaking in" to make it comfortable, and does not make any rustling noise as you move around ... I'm a Mighty picky person and know what I want and will not stop until I get it, when shopping I have a certain criteria that must be met and this comforter has met them all... This gets washed one or two times a week and the insulation is still perfect in the stitched boxes. I think I've had this for a year or so and I use it daily. Dog hair doesn't weave into the shell at all. It always looks new when I lay it on the bed from the dryer. This is heavier weight than my old one and so much cozier on cold nights. ... show more

When I first took it out of the package, it seemed thin and not fluffy. I immediately put it in my dryer with a wet washcloth and fluffed it up in the dryer for about 20 minutes. When I took it out, it was very nice and fluffy. I put it on my bed and that night it was so cozy and warm, and I was thrilled to death with it not to mention the fabulous price that I paid because it was prime day. Fits the queen sized bed well and isn’t overly heavy or light—-somewhere in the middle, which is what was needed. Beautiful color and very big! It comes in a small box that is super vacuum sealed so Be sure to throw it in the dryer with a wet towel and some dryer sheets or some other clean wet clothes to fluff it up and it is super soft and luxurious! Breathable but Not too hot either!
