This comforter is all the good things. It's super soft, not too hot but heavy enough, easy to wash, fluffy and cozy. I searched everywhere and had many disappointments, but this one is great. We don't use a flat sheet...I know...it's criminal not to. But my husband would constantly shuffle in it until it's on the floor every night. After realizing we'll never wake up with the sheet covering us, I started buying all white comforters so that we can wash it as much as we'd wash our sheets and be able to bleach it. That's why I wanted to try this one. So my comforters have to be as soft as a bed sheet. This one is just right. I cut the little tabs off that you can use if you're putting it inside a duvet and it looks like a luxe hotel bed in my room. Love it! ... show more

I understand the intent is to put a duvet cover on this but it’s beautiful as is so I decided not to cover it. It’s very soft and comfortable on the skin. It is thick so if you run warm it may not be for you. Even as a decorative blanket it’s excellent. Gives sort of a comfy hotel vibe which is nice. There was a bit of chemical smell upon arrival but after a wash and a week of airing out it smells fine now. It is so big that you’d only want to wash it by itself due to space ... show more

This down blanket was the perfect fit and color for my sheets and queen sized bed. The thickness was especially nice since it is a balance between the summer comforter I had to give away (king size and age), and the winter comforter I bought two years ago that is quite thick and plush. The blanket was enclosed in a very strong plastic bag, which, when opened, puffed out once the pressure was released. There was no odor. The stitching is tight. I took a nap and found it to be the perfect temperature for my environment in the Sierras.... The price was perfect for my budget. I will be using it until the winter, and then pack it away safely until next spring... see picture. ... show more
