Style: Lawn Sweeper

Features

  • Ultra lightweight and easy to use, 21" brush width yard sweeper, Leaf Sweeper with spinning rake-like action with 70% pick-up on the first pass; multiple passes required to pick up 100% of the leaves.
  • Works best on flat surfaces, short or recently cut grass; good for dry leaves only. Does not collect any other yard debris.
  • Do NOT use in wet or windy conditions. For best results: only use in dry non-windy conditions. Wet material is difficult to sweep up and wind increases material blown out before reaching the collection bin.
  • Adjustable leaf sweeper rake height for easy and efficient collection of debris. Height adjustments needs to be set just below your grass height for the sweeper to sweep up your leaves
  • Not ideal for collecting rocks, nuts, pinecones, or any other material besides dry leaves. Does not work well in wet or windy conditions.

  • This thing is a game changer!
First, it wasn't hard to put together. I did it in about 15 to 20 minutes. Now let's talk about my yard. What you see in the pictures is only the beginning of what I'm dealing with and that's just the front yard. This is my second fall in this home. Ten oak trees! First comes the acorns. Billions of them. They fall like rain, ricocheting off the house, the cars, the camper. I can only rake them there is no easy way to pick them up. I dump them over the fence and the deer take care of the rest. I got about 10 wheel barrows full of those. Now for every acorn there are about 20 leaves. You do the math. Last year was a nightmare. I tried mowing them with the rider. That created about 1/4 inch of leaf mulch...way too much to let the grass breath. I tried push mowing them. That was easier but emptying the bag was annoying. I tried blowing them into the woods behind the house after getting about a 3 ft ×60 ft pile. Not good for vegetation on the slope ( land erosion). So this year I bought a blower/vacume/mulcher. Takes way to long. So I tried this. This lawn sweeper. I love it! Is it work, yep. About like push mowing but not near as physically demanding. Way easier to empty than the mower bag. Does it get every leaf, nope. Im not going for perfection. My yard is like a forest floor. Not much grass, lots of moss and mushrooms. I like it that way. I just don't want to kill what does grow by leaving all the leaves there. Plus , I got to meet the neighbors half way and keep the yard somewhat respectable. I swept a portion of the front yard and a few trips around the back. I figure if I do a little every day or every other I'll be able to keep on top of the leaves. Fingers crossed. It does a decent job of getting small sticks and acorn tops (not the acorns though). There are a lot of little groups of leaves and it does a decent job of picking those up too. I have to say I'm happy with my purchase. It could have been a little cheaper but everything is overpriced these days. Be nice if it could hold more leaves but it's fairly easy to empty. It's easy to push too. Kind of fun actually. I'm gonna need more leaf bags. 6 bags and I only put a dent in whats just the beginning of leaf h e double hockey sticks. Lol, getchya one! ... show more

  • Good idea in theory, a rake is much more effective
I have a large evergreen in my backyard and the needles are a pain to clean up. I thought this would work well for that. Unfortunately, it did not, because this machine has a fatal enemy: st augustine grass. Which is what is in my backyard around the evergreen. If it picks up a runner, the runner will wrap itself around the tines of the machine and then you won't be able to push it until you cut the st augustine runners out. The other issue is that my backyard has other trees as well, so the yard is bumpy and uneven from the tree roots. I thought then maybe it would work in my front yard, it's more flat and even & doesn't have st augustine. It did a little better in the front and here's my opinion. This machine would be great for someone who has even land and has a disability or an injury that would prevent them from being able to use a rake. Its very easy to push and as long as you've got a brisk pace, it'll pick up most things. I was able to push it with one hand. My 4 year old was able to push it around. But we have able bodies for now and this isn't the most effective machine for us. If you can use a rake, it'll do better. If you have problems with your arms or hands and can't use a rake, this would be perfect, but find a used one, don't spend msrp. ... show more

  • Not Perfect, But Way WAY Better Than Raking
Ok, the ratings and reviews on this yard sweeper run from terrible to great. My experience is on the higher side of middle. I like the idea more than the workability of the product, but I won't give it up either. I have almost 3 acres of yard and I live in the southeast so we are talking leaves and PINE NEEDLES ( aka pine straw ). You have never appreciated raking nice light lovely leaves until you try raking pine straw. The pine in this area have needles from about 6 inches to nearly 10 inches and when they fall the entire yard will become solid orange in a few hours. Well, this little machine is not that easy to use when the pine straw is deep; the straw is too heavy and it while the sweeper will pull it up, it will not toss it into the bag/catch. Instead, when the straw is too deep and too heavy it will simply fall off the sweeper fingers (for lack of a better word) and fall short of the bag/catch. Also, you will have to hold the thing up a bit as you push otherwise the back support (what keeps it standing up when on its own) drags, so by the time you have gone back and forth for a bit you can feel it in your shoulders and forearms. Also, many others say this too, the bag or catch is a bit small; I can do one run along one side of the yard then I must dump it. If I don't dump it the load is so high the items picked up by the sweep run into what is already in the catch and then fall short, back onto the lawn. However, contrary to many other comments, I do like it and for me it works well (not perfect, but well). I do some raking when the leaves and pine straw is too deep or wet, but I prefer this as it is much easier (despite constantly having to empty the catch/bag). I am attaching photos to show the effect it has, now do keep in mind that the green part has been swept, and I did a couple of runs (this is not the result of only one pass, you must pass back and forth a few times to get your yard clean of pine straw, with leaves it is better). It takes me about an hour to do my front yard, the back is three times larger with a huge slope so it takes a great deal of time. There were some questions on what it picks up. I find that mine picks up small branches, leaves, pine cones, trash, nuts and other small items that end up in the yard. The smoother your yard is, the more likely it will pick up stuff. The one issue you may want to be aware of is that if you are going at a good clip those items, other than leaves and pine straw, can come flying up at you; I often have to dodge flying bits as I sweep. Now, the bigger pine cones often will not navigate the sweeper and I have to go back to pick them up manually. All in all, it has saved me many a weekend of blisters on my hands from raking and back soreness from raking. Would I buy it again? You bet. Is it perfect? Far from it, but until someone creates a better mouse trap I will manage quite nicely thank you! ... show more

  • Decent product!
The media could not be loaded. First to know, assembly instructions are obtained online. They are not included in the box. The box I received did not include hardware. I called the number on the box and they mailed it right away, no questions asked. Altogether, it took me about an hour to assemble. It does have plastic parts but the handle is metal. It is much sturdier than I expected. This is a product I will actually use. I will primarily use is to collect grass trimmings. I'm glad that I took the chance on this. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because most everything can use improvement. ... show more
