  • Excellent Product at a Fair price
I really think they have a winner here. The products works well and the interchangeable rechargeable batteries puts them a head of the curve for extending use time and reducing the overall cost of ownership as the battery life of the standard rechargeable system is usually what end the life of the hearing aid. The fact that these have owner changeable rechargeable batteries is a home run in my opinion. The rest of the industry will have to catch up on this feature. My only complaint is they don't include the longer ear tube. A need for me as I have large ears. ... show more

  • Good product for $
I am adjusting better each day to these new hearing aids. I was a bit bummed at first as the product description stated they are Bluetooth compatible but after receiving them and contacting service center learned that they are only Bluetooth compatible with the app to control them and cannot be used to stream music audio books or answer phone calls. This is my only complaint. Product details did not make that clear and should be updated. However after using them for 2 weeks I am completely satisfied v with my hearing experience and did some research and have decided these aids are the Best Buy for the money I have to spend at this time. I do like that they are rechargeable and come with an extra set of rechargeable batteries. The service center responded promptly to my inquiry about the Bluetooth issue. All in all so far these are a great hearing solution for the money ... show more

  • They're Good--But They Have Significant Issues, Mainly with Batteries!
I bought my first pair April 22, 2023 for $599.99. What I was surprised with, was EarCentric practically begging me for a "fair & accurate" review (and offering me little "prizes" for it) almost immediately. Now, why would they do that? How could I possible rate such a complex product that quickly? The second problem, right out of the box, was that both new units came with a small-sized ear tube, which was not long enough for me. Why wasn't there an option for ear-tube length, when ordering? I don't know, but there should have been--so I could have begun using the units immediately! Yes, they did send me a pair of longer ear tubes for free--but I didn't get them for several days! The next problem was feed-back ringing in the left ear. Almost every movement caused it to go off. I followed the troubleshooting tips and was able to reduce this problem somewhat, but not completely. I became convinced the left unit was defective, called EarCentric, and requested a "good price" on a one replacement unit--acknowledging that I would pay for it! The "deal" I was offered was $300 for one, without accessories, and I'd have to send them the possibly defective unit, first. How "special" was that? I went back on Amazon and saw that two new units with accessories were now priced at $549, $51 less than I paid initially. So, I bought another pair for $549 and found that I still had a left-ear ringing problem. I quick trip to my doctor to investigate this resulted in him removing a large blockage of ear wax; the ringing problem was resolved! Why didn't EarCentric suggest checking that? Now, almost 2 months after the second purchase (which gave me four aids and eight batteries), I am dealing with another annoying and debilitating issue: The batteries themselves! Some mornings it takes up to ten "tries" inserting them into the aids, to get them to make contact and light up. I almost sent one unit back and then it finally lit up! I've tried numerous things to make this issue go away--all to no avail! I'm just living with it. And it is mainly due to this problem that I have reduced my overall rating for this product from FOUR to THREE stars. Once the batteries stop working altogether, I won't be buying ANYTHING else from EarCentric; I will be switching to another over-the-counter hearing-aid manufacturer.--RD 26 Aug 2023.....Update 5 May 2024: I've now had two pairs of these and the 8 batteries that came with them, plus 2 more batteries I've purchased recently from EarCentri, and here's what I've learned. The re-chargeable batteries last about 1 month (of continuous usage/charging) if you are lucky. Therefore, one can expect to spend about $120/month to keep them operating. THAT is ridiculous, and as a result I am lowering my rating, as of today, down to two stars! It's a shame, because the hearing test and phone-app control are very nice features. ... show more

  • Easy to set up
Just got them today and it only took a few minutes to get the app and run through the test to get the basic profile set. seems to be working well. The app and test sets the volumes of multiple frequencies just like if you went to one of the overpriced places that might or might not do it properly. The difference is if it's not quite right, you can do it over. you can check their website you can see that they even have replacement batteries and all the tubes and ends. Seems like just what I needed. ... show more

  • Don't buy EarCentric
Devices worked great for 2-weeks. Now for the last two months I've had battery trouble (short life). Got a new phone and they won't pair. Now I find that the device isn't even available anymore.

  • If you are buying this for Bluetooth capability beware!
The manual points to an outdated link for the user manual for the app. We had to try to get this from the online bot support. We eventually got it.

  • Quality and price
I got a set of hearing aids the my insurance paid for which cost $6,000. I have moderate to high hearing loss on the high end. The hearing aids were to shrill on the high end, even after being adjusted by the audiologist, so I gave them back. I purchased these and went through the program to adjust them and they work so much better. The highs are not shrill. Great purchase. ... show more

  • Quality and Extra Service
Quality and excellent are rare. When a good product is "packaged" in excellent service, the word gets around. I have tried several hearing aids of varying prices and capabilities. Earcentric is the company and product I found to best meet my needs. Believe me. Quality service makes a huge difference. ... show more
