My off-label purpose for this roll of painted aluminum sheet is to protect my cedar fence boards from the line trimmer, which has been beating them up for years. I also wanted to use it to protect the fence posts, as well as my mailbox post. Although you can buy pre-made sleeves to protect the posts, they are pricey and wouldn't solve the entire problem. I purchased the green finish as I thought it would be the least obtrusive. The roll arrived without dings or scratches, and the colored finish is a nice matte green. I found it fairly easy to work with, and bent it as needed. The matching nails are a nice bonus. Time will tell how the finish will hold up to the line trimmer, but so far so good.

I bought an 8" wide roll of this to cover wood trim on a detached garage. I was able to use this in 6' lengths, bend using a make shift brake and trim with tin snips. I then nailed all pieces into place and they look nice. This 50' roll was just the right amount to do the job. Also this coil came with gloves and nails. Great stuff!
