Very useful product. I had 2 prs of shoes that were a bit tight. and was thinking of just donating them..BUt decided to try this first. I used it to stretch the shoes both in width and the length...It definitely did both and I can feel the fit change in the shoes. The shoes are not leather. They are flexible material.. So I'm hoping the stretching stays. If not, I will try to put in the Stretcher overnight again. I haven't tried it in leather shoes. But overall, a very good quality, very useful product. The included accessories are a shoe horn, bunion stretchers for both shoes. I chose this based on reviews. I can only give my opinion on the value of the purchase depending on how much have a use for it in the future! ... show more

Honestly just what I needed & now my family needs it constantly. I love the fit & stretch. Took me a couple of tries to figure out all the functions but I got it. Only down side is the little inserts/side shoe stretches break if your going to the extreme. Like shoes that are rigid in shape will crack the plastic pieces & that's that. Exceeded my expectations - have already stretched two pairs of dress shoes, and am working on another pair of shoes. The first were platform espadrille sandals that the cross straps were too tight in the right foot so it was difficult to insert my foot without effort, and these were fake leather and still stretched fine. With all the shoes I stretched I have been very careful of warnings not to overstretch, but this appears to be harder to do than I thought. I started out with just a few hours and ended up stretching overnight to two to three nights in a row, tightening a little more every night. So far I have had to come close to turning the knob to stretch almost as far as I can turn it (when it gets that tight) thus the tightening more as it stretches. The second pair of shoes I stretched were a pair of peep toe mules with block heels that are suede on the outside and man-made material on the inside. The peep toe area squished my toes and caused a great deal of pain and so I put the tips of the stretchers way into the toe box and stretched them out multiple times (in the beginning I was scared to do it too much - I don't want to ruin a pair of expensive shoes). I ended up stretching them as hard as I could for three days and now they hurt my toes alot less. I am considering stretching them more until they don't hurt at all. I bought an alcohol based shoe stretcher spray that is supposed to work even without shoe stretchers and I plan to try both together once it arrives. My only ongoing headache has come from trying to stretch the top strap of a pair of Birkenstocks that is too tight, where moving the buckle is too loose. This strap has been giving me blisters for months. It is a little hard to get the stretcher situated to just this one strap, but I have been working on it, it is just not there yet. I have recently applied serious leather conditioner to soften and help stretch the leather, and am going to stretch with the spray when it arrives. This is taking forever as I have to wait for each blister to heal to try again and see if I have fixed them. But up until a few weeks ago I was just .trying to break in with my feet, so all the rest of this is a recent development. Outcome to be determined still. These shoe stretchers feel to be high quality and sturdy, heavier material than expected, and able to withstand a lot of torque with no problem. I have not had occasion to use the little knob attachments yet as I have been stretching sandals, but they seem like a good idea and other reviewers rave about them. I have also not had occasion to use the lengthening feature yet, but I think I can tell how to do it. My set came with simple instructions in the form of diagrams that were not very helpful. I highly recommend these shoe stretchers - it seems to me they are sturdier and firmer than old fashioned wooden ones, and are so smooth they don't leave any marks on shoes. I am very happy with my purchase and already plan to use them on many of my older shoes and for years to come! ... show more

Worked well for a pair of canvas shoes that were too narrow. I left them for 2 days with the stretcher inserted and occasionally sprayed the shoe with water to help the material form. They are cheap and would easily break/strip if you tighten them too much but for less than 20 bucks it does the job.

They seem to be well made and will work well for a smaller shoe. I bought the large size thinking I could stretch the instep of a men’s 14 shoe. No luck even though I stuffed some socks in the toe in order to take up some of the space. I will probably return them.
