So far so good! have several pairs of shoes I needed to "expand". I have a wide WIDE forefoot and midfoot but my heel is very narrow which makes it hard to find shoes that are comfortable in the front that don't just fall off my heel. A lot of the negative reviews mentioned something broke and I can see why with all these hard plastic pieces. You MUST get it situated inside the shoe then GRADUALLY increase the tension over a few days. You can't just keep spinning the adjusters to start out, or the hard plastic will break under the pressure. I'm working with mesh/cloth type shoes that have a slightly padded interior, stronger material on the inside. I started out by doing one shoe, so I could compare to the other one. I did have a hard time getting the "heightening pad" in AFTER the form is inside the shoe as the instructions showed. Instead, I put it in before I slipped the form inside but that's VERY tricky because it doesn't actually attach and slides around like crazy, but I finally got it in and positioned where it needed to be. The next morning, I tightened the length and width adjusters a few turns and let it sit another 24 hours. This morning, I tried BOTH shoes on and I'm thrilled with how much better the left shoe fits now! Today I'm going to start stretching the other shoe AND spray both down with water which will help the shoe hold their new shape as they dry. Since they are cloth based shoes, water is fine. If you are working with leather or other hard material boot/shoe, DON'T USE WATER! Instead, I'd highly recommend purchasing boot and shoe softening/stretching spray to use in conjunction with these stretchers. Overall, very pleased so far with these!

At first I was concerned because I could not get them to open as far as I needed. I adjusted the screws that hold them together, loosening them a bit and they now work as they should. Maybe I should have read the instructions more closely to begin with. These are especially good because they are made of plastic instead of wood, and therefore do not hold odors. Also, one pair of outdoor shoes were extremely tight and I wanted to wet the leather to help it stretch. This worked great with these stretchers. Just know that if you wet leather you will change the color of it, so do it only on shoes/boots that color doesn't matter.

My feet have gotten wider over the years and the tightness of my shoes couldn't be ignored any longer. Both feet have gotten wider but the right foot is much wider around the little toe. The hot hair dryer trick worked well for the left and made a big difference on the right. The stretch tool finished the job on the right shoes. I now have toe room I never had before ever. I also replaced many insoles with thin foam odor eater insoles. That also helped by getting rid of old thicker insoles. I was almost ready to start tossing pairs out for replacement. That is not necessary now.

These work great! I have used them on several pairs of shoes and they stretch just fine. If you are looking to stretch your shoe more than a shoe size, you will never find a product that will do that continuously without breaking. Shoes are not made to stretch up a whole size. If you use this stretcher with some common sense then you will get great results. I highly recommend these. And the price is cheap compared with the quality of this product.

I bought a pair of nike air, but I only tried to right shoe and the left is a little bigger. Ugh! I am so pleased with the results, Ive got more toe room. I was also impressed with the ability to adjust the stretcher. Just give it some time. Didnt note anything after Bout 8 hours but was thrilled when I left it in place for about 2 days. Ive been going through my shoes and have "recovered" several pairs.

Really easy to use. I was having foot problems with my athletic shoes being getting too tight. I tossed the bunion plugs, the nice bag, kept the quality shoe horn yet most importantly stretched all my shoes each for 24 hours and made all the difference. Quality made and engineered. Simply inserted each stretcher after counter clock wise turns to shortened and loosen them up - then insert, turn the grey knobs clockwise until shoe stretcher was tight as possible front to back..... then.... clockwise turns of the metal loop until really tight expansion to each side of shoe - and shoes were perfect the next day without hurting feet.

These shoe stretchers are fantastic - very simple and easy to use, and it worked in stretching out some shoes that were killing my feet. Such an old school design but love the crazy pink color.

Worked ok. Had to stretch sneakers several times moving it and repositioning it slightly each time. Took about 5 days total stretch time. Sneakers fit good now. Little toe Does Not rub any more. Feels much better.
