So far, I freaking love this thing. I have had a few wet vac/floor scrubbers over the years, and when the last one died a few years back, I have relied on my steam mop and Swiffer's. But I have two elderly dogs and recently accidents have become more prevalent, and the steam mop wasn't cutting it. I have other Dyson products and love them, so I decided to invest in this wet vac. The first time I used it, it actually produced a lot if foam, probably because of how much cleaning product I have sprayed on my tile and not gotten entirely up. But after that, I have used it with just water and my floors are super clean, and no longer slightly tacky. I clean up any gross messes with cleanser and paper towels, then use the Dyson on all my hard floors. They feel cleaner than they have in a long time. The instructions say you can use cleansers, but that usually makes my tile feel sticky and I hate that. Clean water seems to be doing a great job, after I have spot cleaned any nasty spots. I might try adding a little white vinegar if there have been some doggy messes that seem to warrant more aggressive cleaning. But I want less chemicals in my life wherever possible. This vac is easy to use. It is self-propelled when on, but somewhat heavy when not. I don't think it would work well on stairs either, though I haven't tried. It also has a self-cleaning function which is amazing. So, so far 10/10. I have only had it for a few weeks and already love it. ... show more

  • Don’t buy
I should have returned it but I so wanted it to work. The unit reasonably cleans our tiled floors and picks spilled liquid. When it works, which us rare. Original cleaner kept indicating that dirty water tank is full even though it was not, and shutting down. Called Dyson, they started replacement process. Sent the old cleaner to Dyson, weeks later replacement arrived. It looks rebuilt, which is ok, tank indicator is fine, but the bottom tray falls out every time i lift the cleaner. Called Dyson. They don’t have replacement tray in stock, so they will email me when it is back in stock and i would have to call back. They can’t even put me in line for replacement tray. Weeks go by, no email. Just buy something else, not this. ... show more

  • ❤️❤️❤️
I love this machine! We have Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors and they have never looked so good. Shedding dogs, a hubby that doesn't take his shoes off when coming inside :)...and a hiking property all makes for a mess. I do, however, use my Dyson V15 to vacuum 1st. Cannot imagine the wg1 could handle that full canister of hair and dirt. With that said, the wg1 is a dream. Easy to learn, easy to use and clean up is a breeze. The janitors mop and bucket are history. Big yes from me! ... show more

  • very satisfying once you figure out how to turn it on
It picked up an amazing amount of dirt - however, it took me quite a while to figure out how to make it work.

  • worth every penny and then some!
I am now. A Dyson lover. This floor washer works great on my floors (tile composite, Hardwood composite, tile and sealed hardwood - only on low)…. No chemicals needed. I. Have 2 cats, a dog and a husband and long hair - so I vacuum first. The instructions say you don’t need to vacuum first, but with this much dander, hair and paw/shoe dirt I prefer a vacuum first (on my Dyson V15 - also amazing)… It’s also SOO easy to clean up afterwards. I LOVE IT.. Highly recommend. Worth every penny. I am now enjoying cleaning my floors (which I hated). do it… You won’t regret it. ... show more

  • Works well, but…
The Dyson floor washer works very well. I have had many Dyson products over the years and have always been impressed with the quality and user friendly features. Instead of a nice clear owner’s manual, you have to download their app and watch instructional videos. They are unclear and move too fast. My washer is not the one in the video and does not come apart the same for cleaning. I called customer service for help and was assured that I would get a call within 3 days. I did not get that call. With help from a few friends, I figured out how to get it apart. I’m still debating whether to keep it or not. ... show more

  • Hair gets tangled in brushes
a total disappointment. I trusted the brand Dyson and assumed they did a fantastic job just like their vacuums. I wonder if the engineers designed it have ever thought about the strands of hairs that you will have to pick from the brushes after ‘SELF CLEANING’ !!!

  • Costly, but love it
I constantly kept looking at this thing after I bought it, wondering if I should return it and get something cheaper. Because let's face it, this thing is priced high. Dyson isn't new to the game on these things, and theres a few other products that do this out there. Let's be real, no one would ever take this to a pile of spaghetti. So when watching videos keep that in mind. The bad reviews are funny. Yes if you pick up oatmeal, the tray you need to clean will be gross. If you use it like a normal person, then this thing is great. The self clean does awesome. I ran it a 2nd time to see if the water was still perky, and I was surprised on well it did on the first pass. I kept it because I have steam mops, I use Bona swiffer like things on my floor, I have a robot mop all for the wood floors. This thing killed it though. The satisfaction you get from that nasty water you see when you are done is great. Everyone agrees that the floors ever feel cleaner when walking barefoot. ... show more
