Fast shipping, great price. Couple wrenches and a sawzall. And about an hour of labor. Truck sound way better then stock.! Bought this exhaust 3 years ago. Has 80k miles on it. Still awesome, no rot, slight rust. Only issue is clamps.

Sounds incredible! Easy install other than removing factory pipes. make sure you spray rubber bushings with wd40 and lower spare tire. I agree with all comments on chrome tip and the very poorly designed pipe clamp. I broke the bolt trying to tighten. Seems that dynomax would figure this out. Other than that I love this catback

Occassionally tow a travel trailer and decided to look at increasing performance on my tow vehicle, a 2010 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab P/U, with 5.3 liter engine and 3.42 rear end. After doing some research on performance exhausts, decided to go with this product, which claims to increase HP by 25 and torque by 30. Amazon was the least expensive option (as usual), so I ordered with the free shipping option, and was pleased when the item arrived in less than three days. Dynomax has a video on Youtube, demonstrating installation of this exhaust, so I felt confident that I could handle it pretty easily, despite my not having a vehicle lift. Theoretically, the installation is simple - remove the OE exhaust at the back of the catalytic convertor, then install the four piece Dynomax bolt-on exhaust. Removing the OE exhaust was the most challenging part. One could probably cut it out in sections more easily, but I wanted to keep it in one piece, in case I didn't like the Dynomax exhaust. Disconnecting the OE exhaust was relatively easy - fishing it out from beneath the truck was another story. Only after jacking up the passenger side of my truck, almost to the point the wheels were off the ground, was I able (with my wife's assistance) to manuver the OE exhaust out from under the vehicle. The rest of the install went pretty quickly, until I got to what I thought would be the most simple part - the chrome exhaust tip. Turns out that the band clamp included with the product, which secures the chrome tip to the exhaust pipe, was a little too big to tighten around the pipe, despite my bottoming out the nut on the bolt. Fiddled with the clamp for half an hour, until I decided to remove the spacer between the two ends, and tighten it down as far as it would go. Even with the spacer removed and a washer added to decrease the length of the supplied bolt, the clamp got barely tight enough (in my opinion) to hold the tip on. Although all the parts in the kit appear to be of high quality, I was a little disappointed that I had to rig the supplied clamp. Some observations upon starting the engine: Sound quality seems very good - even my wife was impressed, commenting that the truck really sounded like it had ba**s. Acceleration seems to have noticably increased. As it was getting later in the evening, I did not take it out on the highway, but annoyed my neighbors for a few minutes by taking it out in the neighborhood and running it up and down the street. Truck sounds really good under acceleration. I am looking forward to seeing whether there is any noticeable difference in MPG (I also added a K&N air filter) and increased power when towing. Pros: Quality, throaty growl, especially upon acceleration. Apparent increase in acceleration. Good looking exhaust (tip). Seems like a quality product. Cons: Removal of the OE system is time consuming and could be very challenging without the proper tools. Ill-fitting band clamp. Will update if I have anything further to report on performance. Updated on July 1, 2013. Have had the exhaust on the truck for about seven months now. Some observations: 1. Doesn't seem to have done much for my fuel economy (not that that was promised). In the first 10K miles, I checked the highway mileage and got around 17.5 MPG. Have taken several long trips since changing out the exhaust, and generally get around 16.5 with similar load. Do not know if this can be fully or partially attributed to this item. Just an (disappointing) observation. I have not yet gotten a chance to tow the trailer with it. 2. While I still like the sound of the exhaust at low RPMs, on the two most recent roadtrips we've taken, the sound of the exhaust switching from 6th gear to 5th gear has gotten annoying - to the point I've considered putting the OE exhaust back on. Sounds fine and quiet enough in 6th gear running down the road but, in strong winds (common where we live) or hilly country, the shifting back and forth from 6th to 5th really gets old - guess what I am referring to is the drone of the exhaust in 5th. It's too loud. So, the final verdict for me right now is that I will keep it on the truck. BUT, I'm not sure I'd buy it again, knowing what I know now. This is just my opinion.

The description as "big block sound" doesn't exist. Added a deeper sound but not to much different, I will be going back to my flow master 10 series for raw glory of American sounding 4x4 machine.

This is my second aftermarket exhaust on my truck. This one installed great. At first start up its very quiet wasn't happy. After my first weekend of towing my boat it broke in and sounds great much more aggressive. Very mellow deep rumble. Sounds much better than the first system I had. Can't beat the price for what you get.

NICE CAT BACK KIT! GREAT PRICE! INSTALL WENT VERY EASY, ALL HAGERS FIT IN FACTORY LOCATIONS AND BOLTED UP NICELY. AS I READ IN OTHER REVIEWS YOU WILL GET LOTS OF LOW RPM DRONE...KIND OF ANNOYING. BUT SOUNDS AWESOME ONCE YOU GET INTO IT. TIP/CLAMP ARE SLIGHTLY TOO LARGE AND WILL NOT BOLT ON...CLAMP SUPPLIED WILL BREAK. DYNOMAX SENT A NEW ONE OUT TO ME AT NO CHARGE...HOPEFULLY IT FIXES THE PROBLEM. OVERALL AWESOME...CANT BEAT IT FOR THE $$$
