I put this in my 2000 Tundra.It has the 4.7 V8,and it sounds nice.It is not to loud.Just a nice back ground rumble.The fit is great too.It took me about 1/2 hour to take out and install the new system.The only thing that I didnt like was the cheap tip.So I put on a Borla tip

    • Easy, direct replacement for Tundra factory exhaust
I was a little nervous about ordering this exhaust system. Mainly because I had never replaced one. However it was fairly easy, taking a little over an hour. Everything was included with the system, except for the exhaust clamp to connect the intermediate pipe (the small one) to the pipe coming from the factory resonator. They say you can re-use the original clamp, I didn't even attempt it. I picked one up at the local Toyota dealer for under $20 with the gasket and the bolt. My grinder came in handy to help with the removal of the old exhaust. I only needed a ratchet and two sockets to install the Dynomax. As for the system itself. It sounds nice and quiet. I can't hear any drone, and would say the noise is very comparable to the factory muffler. I would recommend this system to anyone intersted in a DIY replacement. ... show more

Can't believe this is almost half the price of other exhausts for the first gen Tundra, but skimps on nothing. All stainless, great fit, nice hardware, looks quality all round. Sounds great, too. Not too loud, not obnoxious.

    • Cheapest one you'll find - fit well.
Ordered and arrived in two days in huge box. Took longer to go get mid-pipe than install. Disappointed that the mid-pipe was damaged in shipping, but this piece was ok. I'll see how long it lasts, but solid buy for the money. Fit right in the OEM space / hangers.

    • Direct bolt-on, no modification required!
I put this on a 2006 Toyota Tundra DC. It says to reuse the flange gasket and clamp coming from the crossover pipe. Do yourself a favor and grab new ones from your local auto parts store. For what this and the price, it really cannot be beat.
