this is not going to be one of those upgrades that you lose your mind over, but it is for sure better than stock. i got this particular set because i dont have a lot of money right now and i saw rust forming on my exhaust pipe and figured time for preventive maintenance that i can do. good thing i did because the mounts were so rusted out that they began to fall apart on removal. if your cat is welded to the exhaust through out any ETA on installation as, depending on the quality of the weld, you will be working pretty hard. the more you use it the quieter it gets but it for sure has a deeper tone. at the time of this review i have an all stock engine. all i have after market are front/rear bumpers, wench, and hood louvers (get hyline offroad louvers for the cherokee XJ as it it works great- im 5-20 degrees lower under the hood with an average decrease of 10 degrees). i did notice SOME improvement but nothing comparable to a pinto before and ferrari after. it was pretty slight. it did help on the 5-7% grades i have to crawl in my 91 cherokee XJ and still came out on top gas wise by a few miles on the 1/4 tank. yesterday though, someone wanted to block me from merging into the right hand lane to make a turn and it sure was nice to mash the gas and get a response (i won by the way). maintain throttle control and you can probably get more out of the engine in short: if your stock and you want refinement but cant afford the higher end exhausts, its worth considering. if you want something that wakes people up at night, this aint it. there may be some MPG gain if you know how to use your throttle properly. if you get some sunday driver blocking you, you can better gun it past them and not wake up the baby/wife with the engine, just the profanity you use regarding sunday drivers. ... show more

This item was shipped on time and arrived when expected. Fits great. Sounds good, we'll see how long it lasts Update, muffler rotted out after only 2 years. Good price if you want to do it again soon. I'm going with a welded muffler this time

The media could not be loaded. Easy install but I did have to fabricobble up an extension for the front hanger on the tail pipe piece. The hanger rod was welded onto a different place than the old pipe that was being replaced. Other than that it was a straight forward easy peasy cat back kit install. ... show more

Installed in about an hour. Perfect fit for my old 92 Jeep Cherokee beater. Kit came with muffler,tailpipe,adapter from 2.5” to 2.25”. Also 3 each of the 2.5” clamps and one 2.25” clamp for the adapter. Sound is deeper than stock so you get a little rumble. Tailpipe has no turndown, however the end is an oval shape which is straight out of the back of vehicle. ... show more

I cannot get over how simple this was to install. The tailpipe is larger than the original (as is the muffler) so I got nervous. However, it fit perfectly. And it came with all of the four clamps and the adapter to adapt up the catalytic converter to the larger diameter pipe. IT gave my Jeep a little rumble...but not enough to be annoying. ... show more
