Purchased as a Christmas stocking stuffer for my young son as he loves the dwarves from the movie and books. They are heavy coins and the case is attractive, this set does not look/feel cheap and looks like you spent more than $30.

Got this for my Dad and he was super happy about it. He's a coin collector and LOTR/Hobbit fan. The case is really nice, minimalist style and nice. The coins are great though, good weight not cheap little things. Great quality gift, glad I got it for Dad.

I haven't watched LoTR before but I have a friend who is a fan and really liked these coins. It's a great gift that doesn't break the budget like many other LoTR merchandise you can get on Amazon. Definitely a super cool collectible and it's worth getting if you're a fan!

These coins have a look and feel of authentic currency from a genuine society. They are a little light weight for such large coins, but not too distractingly so. They are engraved front and back, each side with a different picture/scene. The display case is beautifully rendered in what appears to be solid wood, with a plastic "glass" face, golden metal catchment, and black inked symbols all around the top surrounding the plastic viewing window. The plastic faux velvet molding around the coins is exact to each coin, very snug, and even though there is a place on each coin to insert a finger to remove each coin, it is a little difficult, but not impossible. I recommend using the fingernail file on a pair of fingernail clippers to remove the more stubborn coins. Keep in mind, these coins are irregularly shaped, so you have to replace the coin in its own well in the precise manner in which you removed it, or it will not fit. I bought these for my husband, who is a coin collector (I never imagined I would be able to gift him coins from Middle Earth), for Valentine's Day, and I can't wait for him to see them!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... show more
