  • Running well after 6 months
Style: 4,500-Watt Dual Fuel
Holding up well after several hundred hours in a marine environment (freshwater). Lighter weight than some competitors but also a bit louder. This is about the only generator in its size range with a GFCI receptacle which is why we purchased it.

  • runs nice and quiet
Style: 4,500-Watt Dual Fuel
really haven't used it hard and not even on gasoline. Just tested with A 3000 watt load on propane for 2 hrs. NOW I'll tell you a secret, directions say to use remote go out and turn on,,, Well I've found that it can be switched on and left alone then after a minute or so all the lights go out propane solenoid shuts off the whole thing goes to sleep (0 battery drain) tested that for 2 weeks, then push the button on the remote and it comes to life, propane solenoid clicks and boom it starts. It seems well made, time and usage will have to answer that one. I've told you what I know, so far. ... show more

  • Not a good start
Style: 4,500-Watt Dual Fuel
Generator was delivered on March 12 2024. The push button start would NOT work after charging the Gen with the wall charger. The remote start would not work either. I did manage to get the unit started with the pull rope and ran it for about 16 hours to try it before taking it out. Got to my camp site, the reason I bought the generator, and it would not start with anything including the pull rope. Contacted the company when i got back home and determined that the battery would not charge. They are sending me a new battery but it is on a 6 week back order. Unbelievable that a "battery" is on a 6 week back order...not happy. ... show more

  • So far so good
Style: 4,500-Watt Dual Fuel
I had already purchased the duromax 13,000 for the house and it works great. Needed something smaller to go out to our land and run some window units, lights and whatever else. Everything works great. Not very heavy picking it up, but it does have a weight over 100lbs. The handle to pull with is really good. It's pretty quiet or more so than the bigger one. I have it about 70ft away from the camp cabin and can't really here it much. ... show more

  • Generator
Style: 4,500-Watt Dual Fuel
Love this generator. It is so easy to use. It is very sturdy and has a handle to pull it around with. It is dual … gas or propane. The propane has a longer run time on my application in my camper. I like to keep it cold when boom docking. Using propane is clean energy too. The noise level is low.

  • Would not purchase again
Style: 4,500-Watt Dual Fuel
The media could not be loaded. Generator looks nice. But it was defective straight out of the box. Would not start on propane. Tried different propane bottles and regulators. it Started right up on gasoline, but low idle and info screen didn't work. Wouldn't show output voltage or load. So this one has to go back to duromax for an exchange, which requires draining all fluids and repacking The item in the box. Then scheduling a pick up from fedex or bringing it to fedex. This is my second time ordering from duromax. Ordered Xp9000ih and xp4500ih. Xp9000ih had issues out of the box to. Got an exchange on that one. The replacement had the same issue. So this brand will not be in my future purchases. Its an absolute pain returning these things. Plus getting an exchange doesn't mean it will be problem free. ... show more

  • How do I order larger Jets, due to high elevation ? It doesn’t run well on propane…
Style: 4,500-Watt Dual Fuel
Seems like good reliable product. My only issue is runs rough on propane at 6500 ft elevation…
