  • I saved $100 buying here
To wrap our HVAC ducts in attic. Worked as good as the more expensive one.

  • Good quality.
Good quality foil faced insulation. Wrapped my A/C ducts with it. When calculating how much to cut, I started by allowing for 1-1/2" thickness on top of duct radius (so diameter plus 3"). This was too much and left a sag underneath the duct. Then recalculated assuming 1.25" thickness and trimmed that much off. This produced a nice fit but not so tight so as to compress the insulation. So take your duct diameter, add 2.5" (2 x 1.25"), and multiply by Pi (3.14); cut that much off the roll. Keep the 48" width and orient that in the duct direction. They put about 1.5" of extra foil along one edge to allow it to overlap the next 48" section. Tape the seems with duct tape and you're done. No more heat loss in winter and no more dripping condensation when the A/C is on. ... show more

  • Wonderful for Insulating the Hose on Whynter Portable Air Conditioner
Wonderful for Insulating the Hose on Whynter Portable Air Conditioner - man, what a HUGE difference! I was wondering why I was feeling heat when I had the A/C on and it was definitely blowing cold air. I went to check the unit and felt heat coming from somewhere. It was the coming through the walls of the exhaust hose. Grrrrr. This insulation wrapped around the hose and secured with metal heat tape does an incredible job of blocking the heat. ... show more

  • Not the r 4.7 insulation you're looking for
The insulation sent is actually the r 4.2 model, not r4.7 as advertised. The insulation is good quality though, and I'll keep looking for the r 4.7.

  • Plenty of insulation for the price
This worked out great on my duct work replacement, I used it on the metal wye connections that I hooked the flexible duct to and I still have about half of it left for future usage. I did double line some of them, I just peeled lose the insulation from the vapor barrier and then put another piece on top of that. ... show more

  • Good stuff no complaints
Was not sure what I got till I opened the box and rolled out the insulation. It worked as advertised, I cut it to the proper sizes needed and started wrapping all my duct work under my house. Cuts easy enough with a blade backing does not tear as easy as other brands I have used I ordered two more rolls ... show more

  • Very happy with the duct insulation
Exactly what I wanted, exactly as described. Able to wrap about 20 feet of 6 inch heating duct in a crawl space, used aluminum tape to seal the insulation, and it is making a Big difference in the warmth in the two bedrooms. Very happy with the duct insulation. I cut approximately 25 inch pieces to wrap around 48 inches at a time, used a couple of short pieces of aluminum tape to hold in place, and then taped the whole seam. Used 6 inch strips to wrap around one “tee” and several elbows, plus the funnels at the floor outlets. Took several hours but is well worth the time. ... show more
