This set has almost every brush you will ever need. The brushes are good quality and the price is amazing, but I find some of them a little too stiff for my liking, but overall they're OK. It comes with a pamphlet saying which each brush is for and they are number coordinated. There are little stickers that are meant to put on the brushes so you can more easily see which brush is for what, but I couldn't get the stickers to peel off. I have a lot of experience with makeup, so for me, not a big deal. The numbering and descriptions would be helpful for someone starting out. ... show more

I actually would have preferred stiffer brushes as these are so soft, the blush/eye shadow takes more application to achieve the color I am looking for. But great value for the number of brushes.

These brushes are wonderful! I originally bought 2 sets in black, as a Christmas gifts, for my daughters. I have been a professional makeup artist for years and I have bought, every high end brush brand, that you can think of. In the professional world, it’s considered taboo, to buy sets. When building your collection, the brushes should be purchased a la carte. I wasn’t looking for something spectacular though, for my girls, just something simple. I was stunned at the quality of these brushes! They’re soft, well balanced, feel great in your hand, the bristles are densely packed and shaped perfectly, the ferrule is tight on the bristles and wood handle, they apply makeup smoothly and evenly, there is no makeup fall out. When washed, there wasn’t even, one fiber, that fell out. Which is AMAZING and definitely, unexpected! There is two downsides, though. The brushes individually, were packaged well. Each individual brush, had a plastic net, to keep the bristles shaped correctly and in a thin plastic bag, to prevent scratches. However, they arrived in a padded envelope and not boxed. Obviously, not a good idea as a shipping choice. They also had a smell, but you should never use brand new brushes, anyway, without cleaning them. The smell wasn’t anything a good brush cleaning couldn’t get rid of. After looking over each brush, with a hawk’s eye, I decided to keep them and give them as the gifts, anyway, due to the quality. I also, decided to buy 2 more sets, in red. One for my daughter in-law and one for ME. That should tell you something about the quality. This time when they arrived, they were in the brand’s box, sealed in plastic. Each individual brush was packaged the same way, as above. The each box itself, was bubble wrapped and in an Amazon box, with the air filled, packing pillows. Why they were packaged differently, I don’t know or understand. They still had a smell, but once again, a good cleaning, took care of that. So, considering the packaging on the first order, don’t order them in black. Even with the packaging issues and smell, I’m still giving these 5 stars. The quality that you are getting is outstanding and I’m shocked by the price! ... show more

I just spent an hour putting stickers on these to label them. I wanted Brushes with labels but didn’t realize I had to put them all on myself. This should be done for you. Also 3 of them came scratched up. Haven’t used them yet to see if I like that but this is my review out of the box.
