Im very picky about boots and I've spent over a year researching what would be the best boot that would put up with everything. Some of the reviews I read about this boot made me weary since many have noted the calf not being wide enough or them being tight. I will say, I wear a 9.5-10 in boots and my regular half chaps for ridding are an XL. These boots, I ordered a size 10. Fit perfectly! So warm, comfortable light weight, they feel and look durable. They are a tad stiff but I expected that while breaking them in. I will be recommending these boots and definitely ordering again in the future. They check all the boxes and then some. I live in my boots year round and I'm super excited about these.

I LOVE these boots. They aren’t super comfortable to walk in (but I didn’t have time to break them in) since I found a stiff part in the back that kind of rubs. But i was very pleased with how they protected my legs from the brush and was THRILLED that my knees and ankles didn’t hurt after three days of trail riding that was way longer and more difficult riding than I am used to.

After a month of regular use, I think these are probably the best boots I've ever had. I ride in them almost daily and wear them around for basic barn chores and into town for equine supply runs. The boots have broken in nicely around the ankles and aren't stiff at all. We're out in the Chihuahua Desert of West Texas and the land here is hard and rugged. Rocks, thorns, cactus, shake and sand and these boots are handling it all fine. The soles are thick, but balanced well and I don't worry about traction on steep hills at all. The reinforced inner calves are excellent for riding long days. I spend anywhere from 2 to 6 hours in the saddle and the boots have kept my legs from bruising and protected me from mesquite thorns. (There's a reason we use chaps and tall boots out here) The toes fit my stirrups comfortably despite my big feet. I actually wish I had splurged on a pair of these years ago - absolutely functional for real world riding and they look great.

So far so good! I bought these to replace my Muck boots and see if they were as great as everyone says they are. So far I believe it. They keep my feet nice and warm (in Temps as low as the single didgets and in snow) and the best part is they keep your feet warn without making then sweat like crazy like my Muck boots do, so if you stop moving your feet aren't instantly freezing and wet! also, they are definitely water proof! I work on a horse/ cattle farm in KY so my feet are constantly in mud, water, snow, poop, and whatever else, and these boots keep it all off my feet! They are good on my thick calves, not too tight. They are tight enough however that they do a good job of keeping hay and straw out. And they are MUCH lighter than my Muck boots so they are far more comfortable to walk, drive, and ride in! My Muck boots got a break in the heal after just 2 winter seasons or so, so only time will tell if these will last as long or longer. So far these are going on a month strong so we will see!

Nicely made , a solid size too small. I am a 9-9.5. 10 would have been perfect. Unfortunately I wore them thinking they would break in but they are still quite uncomfortable.

Imagine how happy I was to see this delivery! These are supposed to be a higher quality item, something I had hoped would make winter riding more warm & enjoyable. I should have listened to the other reviews! What a complete shame that such a beautiful boot- that someone put effort into designing... turned out so poorly made. MAYBE if you have large calves, this might be the boot for you? Though I am not slim by any stretch of the imagination, I do run and have strong calves, they are not thin at all- I could stand to lose easily 40 pounds (am working on it) and these calves of this boot are just insanely huge. Beyond that, the foot portion is extremely rigid and had almost no flexibility to it. Have printed out the return label and now having to make a special trip to send these back. VERY disappointed. What a shame, because the design is lovely.

These are beautiful and a nice quality for a decent price! I get compliments on them every time I wear them. I've wanted a pair of river boots ever since I first saw them probably 15 years ago. I have large calves so fit is always a struggle, but these fit wonderfully. I wear an 8 in most tennis shoes and ordered an 8 in these. They a little big in the foot, but I don't mind the space for when I want thicker socks. If you are thinking about it, this is the pair to buy!

I had a pair of these exact boots that I wore for years and put through the wringer. When they wore out I didn’t hesitate to buy another pair. But this new pair are not the same fit in the calves, they’re much larger than my original pair. Unfortunately these new pair aren’t water proof like my original pair. My first pair I wore through mud, creeks, snow and my feet always stayed dry … these new pair get my feet wet in puddles. Sadly, I’m disappointed these are not the quality boots I experienced with my first pair.
