  • A little learning curve
Color: DTF Powder & Transfer Film Kit
I really like this. I've been sublimating for a while and this DTF hack is a great way to get designs on cotton and other fabrics that aren't able to be sublimated. The powder comes in a sealed, ziptop bag. A little goes a long way, so this should be sufficient for hundreds of shirts! There are some plain DTF films as well as some glitter ones. They are gently folded (not creased), so I took them out of the box and put a heavy book on them for a few days. These go through the printer just fine (I have an ET-2800) if I put a strip of painter's tape on the non-printing side of each side at the top of the page. Pulled through and printed great. I tried two different ways of melting the powder before pressing. The first was with a heat gun, which did a fantastic job but warped the film. It still gave a good press. The other way was to put the film on my heat press, then place a wooden spoon next to it and lower the press. This did a good job of melting it. Following the directions, I got some very nice prints. It took a while to get the hang of it, but I'm getting great results now that go through the washer and dryer nicely. Both the gloss and the glitter gave me great results. The glitter gives some sparkle without being overly sparkly. ... show more

Bit of a learning curve. My colors are not as bright as I had hoped, but I may just need more practice and adjusting to my printer settings.

  • was expecting it to be more difficult
Color: Chameleon Film
This transfer film was incredibly easy to use. I was a little nervous about it as I've never done anything like this before and was really happy with how easy it was to do! I HIGHLY recommend reading the instructions very carefully the first time. It's very easy to do once you follow the instructions carefully and figure out the orientation of the paper into the printer. Let it dry for a good and long time and then peel and stick! Great fun for making custom shirts! ... show more

  • Excellent Product!
Color: DTF Powder & Transfer Film Kit
I really had a lot of fun with these. They are very easy to figure out. You just have to follow the instructions carefully. This was my first time using transfer film with DTF powder and I got to say I really like the final product. So here's how it works if you have never used it. You take your transfer sheet and load it in the printer. Then select your image and print. The moment the image comes out the printer you sprinkle the DTF powder immediately on just the image. You want the ink wet. I had a hard time accepting that this would work but it does. Once you have covered the image in the powder stand the sheet upright and shake off the access powder. Just the image should be coated in the powder. Then take a baking sheet and put the transfer paper(powder side up) on the sheet. Then put it in the oven at 300 degrees for about 5-8 min. You will notice the powder goes clear. This was another step I had a hard time believing. I assumed the transfer paper was going to curl from the heat of the oven. It didn't. Then take the sheet out of the oven and off the pan. Let it cool for a second. Put the sheet powder side down on the shirt or whatever you are printing on and either heat press it or use an iron. I didn't have a heat press so I used an iron. The directions say you can use an iron but no promises that it will work as effective if you do and yeah I screwed up on my first. I was just worried I wasn't going to iron it long enough for it to stick so I ironed it a little longer and it ruined it. Part of the image stayed on the sheet. Second try I was much quicker with the iron process. I just kept moving the iron rotating it on the image for about a minute. That worked perfectly. I let the sheet cool down before I peeled it off because the directions suggested so. Peel slowly. What I love about these transfer sheets is that just the image sticks. There is no clear box around the image from the transfer sheet. It's pretty amazing when you have only used those transfer sheets and then try these transfer sheets. I used to have to cut the image out of the sheet with an exacto knife. Not anymore! These are some of the best transfer sheets I've ever gotten. I know I will be getting more of these soon and I would highly recommend them! ... show more

  • Cute Papers
Color: DTF Powder & Transfer Film Kit
I got this, in all honesty, to try out a hack. I was pretty excited about the glitter paper, and it looks fabulous. I haven't been able to get my printer to recognize the paper yet, even adding sensor recognition stickers that I received from a different kit. To be fair though, my printer is not designed for DTF paper and I have a few more tricks up my sleeve. I was able to transfer an image to fabric using a different paper and this powder. I had better results with the other powder in getting the image to transfer smoothly, BUT the press temperature on this product was higher and I don't believe the most basic, amateur tools I was using were up to scratch. Meaning I was the problem here, not this product. Looking at the two trial images, the color clarity (note, I only used black - so I don't know the word I am looking for... contrast maybe?) Let's just say the black looks so much better with this powder than the other. As a total amateur, I am interested in further pursuing this product and can't wait to upgrade my equipment for even better results! ... show more
