This is a decent little toddler musical toy. The reason for a 3 star review is because I was super excited that it comes with sheet music to play along with. Unfortunately, the music note colors do not match the key colors. There are also numbers on the music and keys which do match but a toddler can’t follow numbers. They need the colors.

A little easier for babies to play that traditional xylophone, because toddlers can use the mallet or the keys to strike the xylophone. Good size. It sits low to the floor and is very balanced and not easy to tip over. The mallet is secured to the base to prevent it getting lost. It covers one octave and comes with card that have songs they can play for older kids Overall my kids enjoy banging on it. A couple cons that would make it better 1) the 4th and 8th key are slightly flat 2) The color coding of the notes in the song cards does not correspond to the colors of the keys on the actual xylophone. Would have been much less confusing if the same color scheme was used for both.

My 2 year old has a piano that she plays with all the time but the batteries die pretty quickly. This one is great! No need for batteries! The xylophone and piano together make it an even better toy for her, giving options on which to play on. It’s also not too loud so not bothersome when she’s playing on it and I’m doing other things.

We’ve been through a few xylophones now, the toddler loves them but also has a vivid imagination so the stick often gets repurposed for some other game & then gets lost. We like this one because it can be played with the keys as well as the stick and (so far) the stick is attached to the toy itself. I would definitely recommend this toy.

This is a great basic xylophone. Nothing electronic and no need for batteries. Good sound on all keys. Seems to be sturdy enough to last a while. I got a little nostalgic when trying it. I remember having a wooden one of these when I was a kid, which was a very long time ago.
