    • Exactly what I needed
I work for a company setting and transporting modular homes. I made the conversion to the tough system because I had recently made the switch to dewalt and got tired of my tools being crammed in soft tote tool bags with the added benefit of the tool system being water proof. That being noted, depending on the job, I need a different assortment of tools with me for each job (I.E. siding, roofing, sewer, drywall, sheeting, framing, setting, skirting, underbelly, lagging, etc.) This is where this toolbox is a must have. I can keep my kneepads and tool belts in them and what ever non power tools I need for most jobs with easy access. Additionally, I can grab what I need right away, put it in this toolbox and carry it with me to where I need my varying toolset for the job. It also has holes in each corner with a sunken corner to allow any water that does get inside to drain out. It keeps my tools from being drug around in the water, snow, and mud while allowing any that may get inside to get out. The handle is very nice as well, although my only complaints are that I wish it had a grooved or slide resistant bottom for when on a roof and the handle doesn't have a lock on it to keep it in the open position. Even with these small nit picks, this has become my second favorite in the tough system line, with it not only being cheap, but also versatile. The only tool box in the line I rate higher is the double drawer box which allows me to get access to my tools without having to unstack them. With all this said, I highly recommend this to those who would use it for the purposes I mentioned prior. If you enjoy the tough system, I would recommend this for you. ... show more

It gets pretty heavy when you load it up but it's pretty much bullet proof. Great tote for IT Techs. Especailly when your laying wire.

This has the manual lock which works way better in my opinion. When you lock them together, they stay locked until you unsnap it. I use them daily to tote painting supplies. It does have drain holes in the bottom, so it will not contain a spilled liquid.

It's a DeWalt...it shouldn't break so quickly. My experience: while it was empty, I dropped the case (about 3') and one of the reinforcement "tabs" broke. The unit is still useable, but, like I said, it's a DeWalt, it shouldn't break so easily. PS: Why are the components for this system so difficult to obtain? Very disappointed at that. ... show more
