I have owned dremmel tools for years, starting with corded versions and upgrading to the light duty cordless units. The unit prior to this one has a battery problem which apparently is known, but also it’s located where you eject it mid job. I decided I needed a new one, heavier duty, with better reviews. I bought this one because it came with a case and the flex tool, which I thought was a nice bonus. I use this for projects I couldn’t do with the prior one. The battery lasts at least 5 times longer and the unit itself is much more user friendly. I decided to try the flex tool when doing my dogs nails and it was fantastic. I can use the flex tool in small areas the larger tool won’t fit in, which makes it even more versatile than my previous light duty, smaller unit. All in all, this has power, it is ergonomic, the battery lasts, the charger charges fast and the accessories are bar none. I've had my dremel for about a year. I bought it for rock polishing and drilling. It's come in handy for a lot of other things. I did end up buying the stand. The hand held attachment can be a little tricky; the driving cord is always slipping out. Seems to take about a half hour to get the stupid thing on when I need it and I always end up covered in black grease from the cord. ... show more
