I needed dark curtains to block out as much light as possible because I spend so much time in bed during the day. These work "okay" at blocking direct sunlight, however you'll have to get creative to find a way to seal the seams against your window trim if you really want a dark room. You could tell by the photos that there’s a little bit of light that comes through on the darker one it’s pretty minor. It does a good job at blocking out the room but they’re not true black out however, you could see with the other or the side-by-side that one of them feels like it has no blackout functionality very fairly priced, but just know what you’re getting into. ... show more

Curtains are very nice, but are about two shades darker than seen on computer. I had to shorten them a bit and found the fabric snagged significantly on the feeder dog of the sewing machine. This caused some pulled threads, but the threads did not break and were easily smoothed back out by pulling the fabric. They are of a heavy weight that hangs nicely but the wrinkles were quit difficult to remove and required both an iron and a steamer and a lot of time. However, once done they flowed beautifully.
