Great shoe for those of us with heel slippage. We are condemned to wearing straps because no matter what we do, a non-strap shoe will slip off. Pads, cushions, etc move around, leave a noticeable gap, and don't get it right! Call it anatomy, or poor gait, I don't know. My podiatrist called it something but I can't remember. So nice strapless heels, cute ballet style shoes, etc, are a nightmare to fit and must be rejected for fear of tripping and injuring yourself. Our only option has been to get shoes with straps around the ankle. I'm only 4'11. I don't have chunky legs or cankles but I do have athletic legs with some muscle tone. The straps shorten me and also make the muscles look more noticeable. So the search goes on. Until now! This shoe and its style is phenomenal for people like us. It fits without slip if you get the right size. Additionally, the interior is so cushiony and comfortable I could wear it all day. Since I also have a hammer toe on my second toe and I have protruding metatarsal heads on the bottoms of my feet, I need relief depending on how long I'm wearing the shoe and what surface I'm walking or standing on. Doctors have suggested shoes with laces or orthopedic shoes. Nope, unless I'm doing athletics and wearing tennis shoes or hiking with boots, no laces for evenings or nice casual shoes. I bought these shoes to wear to a wedding that had an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception. I do not wear heels often because my everyday shoes are usually flip flops or Skechers slip ons. I needed something dressy enough for a semi formal outfit but still comfortable for a long day. These ended up being exactly what I hoped for. Comfort and Fit I wore them from 3 PM until midnight without needing to take them off. That is a win for someone who rarely wears heels. They did not rub, pinch, or give me blisters. The heel height is very manageable and the design keeps your foot secure without feeling tight. Style They looked elegant with my outfit and the pointed toe design gave them a classic look. They felt substantial enough for outdoor walking yet still stylish for the reception. I received compliments throughout the day. Real Life Performance I was able to dance comfortably in them without feeling wobbly or sore. The material felt soft and the inner lining did not irritate my skin. Even after hours of standing, walking, and dancing, my feet felt surprisingly good. Final Verdict These shoes far exceeded my expectations. These are beautiful shoes! I ordered them to wear with an event coming up. I found the name brand on sale at a popular chain store, and even on sale the name brand was more expensive. Same shoe. I wear a size 10, I ordered a size 10, they mostly fit like a size 10. The toe box is comfortable, it doesn’t pinch toes, it’s soft. However, as I walked around my carpeted room to try these on, my foot slipped deeper in the shoe. When that happened, there was too much space at the heel and the ankle strap was a little loose on me. For that reason, and because I haven’t worn heels this high for several years, I am returning them. They are a tad too large in the ankle for me and the heels are too high for me. Cheaper looking in person then what the picture shows. They killed my feet but I haven't worn heels in years. They did come in time for my sons wedding so thats a plus. They are well made just not as high quality as what is shown. It was an outdoor wedding on a very hot day but my feet stayed cool enough with cutouts. I'll keep them in case I need a dress shoe again, maybe I'll get use to them. ... show more
