What is right for me may not be right for others, but I LOVE this boot! It is very fashionable, and true to size. I found the small details to be the big bonus. The back of the calf top has a small elastic gore, allowing a little stretch for wearing over leggings or straight fitting jeans. The elastic also has a little give if you use the hidden pocket. I’ve used the pocket for parking stub, hidden money, key fob, etc. but IPhone will not fit. The side zipper allows for easy on/easy off. The zipper is low, nearer to the ankle rather than towards the knee, and it does not go to the top of the boot which is a feature I like. The so called wide calf is not over wide, but is snug enough to stay put, and does not rub or chafe my calf. It is not intended to be a “snow boot.” It does not have traction grip or lug style tread, so I suggest not using it in bad weather conditions.

These are so cute and perfect for what I needed. They’re not going to be everyday boots since they’re pretty thin and flimsy in the sole but for casual nights out and my renaissance fair costumes they’re just what I wanted. I’m a half size so I sized up and they’ll be great with socks. Also, I’m 5’10” with fairly muscular legs so I was so pleasantly surprised they stay up so well and I still have room in the calves! My only complaint is that they probably won’t be long lasting which is ok with me and just a heads up that they are pretty narrow - luckily I have narrow feet but I can tell with socks there’s not a lot of room on the sides of my toes. If you’re looking for boots for events or a night out I would say 100% get them.

I was in search of a replacement pair of boots from this same brand. I had a brown “leather” pair in a size 9. I normally don’t wear a 9, so when I purchased this very nice grey pair (because this brand no longer carried the same boot), I ordered an 8.5. It fits fine- I can wiggle my toes. But it doesn’t seem quite as comfortable. Also, the foot area is not as sturdy on the sides as my old pair, which also had thicker soles. I do like these boots. They look nice, they’re soft, they have hidden pockets.. but after a bit of walking (like at the mall or grocery store), they’re just not as comfortable as my last pair of boots. (Boots from the same brand, that are no longer sold). I probably would have sized up to a 9. (I wear 8-8.5, depending on the shoe). I notice Amazon is suggesting I buy a size 8. That’s not ideal! So if possible, measure your feet first, and/or read the reviews. (These seem to be more of a dirt magnet, but they are a pretty boot).

The boots are comfortable, the color is as expected. I wouldn’t wear a thick pair of socks with them, but other than that they’re a really nice boot.

I purchased a pair some years ago and within the last couple of years, the heel started breaking apart. I liked the boots so much because of the warmth and the little credit card and cell phone slots, that I figured I'd just purchase another pair. I said all that to say that these boots were worth purchasing twice. If I could've gotten the heels repaired, I'd have kept the original pair.

These boots are comfortable and look great with any outfit. The zipper starts at the bottom at the foot and only goes part way up. This makes them a little difficult to zip if you are wearing jeans. My pants always roll up if I am trying to zip the boots. The boots fit well and are wide enough in the calf to be comfortable, not extremely tight. Wearing them with leggings, or taller socks does help.
