I purchased two pair of these boots for my granddaughters. The color is nice. It was difficult to cinch the closing. The straps barely meet and if you have a medium to small calf, they are loose. Duct tape to the rescue! This problem could be eliminated if the manufacturer would extend the length of the Velcro straps. They worked fine for snow . Spring break fun was rescued with duct tape.

I wanted to get my daughters "rain/winter boots" and absolutely love that these are insulated! These fit great with a bit of room for growth and/or thicker socks! I don't feel these would be ideal for trips to the snow (to play in) but can be used to walk in the snow. I'm no expert though since I just moved to the east coast from Cali. I would feel more comfortable buying a different boot that hugs their upper ankles better to fit snow pants over as these have a wider opening. I ordered the pink and black heart one for my 6y.o. daughter in the kids 2. She is roughly 3ft tall and around 50lbs? She is not your average sized 6yo as her father is 6ft. She wears 7/8 (M) clothing.
