I have been struggling to find a handyman to pay to build a toddler bed, and finally threw in the towel and decided to build this bad boy myself. My precious experience includes building several Ikea end tables, to some success. Very easy. I’ve been listening to music and leisurely working, it took about an hour to construct. I would describe myself as a novice at building furniture. A few thoughts, it is easier to connect the slats to the end piece when the slats are parallel to the ground. That process took about 5 minutes to figure out. ALSO - the little side piece preventing falling out needs to be positioned with the end pieces, so please pay attention to the bookend pieces of the bed when you are putting them on. Sturdy and verrrry easy to construct for someone who is intimidated by this kind of stuff. I actually feel a sense of accomplishment. Hope this helps someone. ... show more

My nephew was visiting with his 2-year old, who was still a little young to be sleeping outside a crib. But I wanted a bed that could “grow” with the 2-year old when he comes to visit a year from now, so I did not want a crib. But I also did not want an open toddler bed that he could roll out of before he is ready. The bed, with an opening on just one side, was perfect. This year, when he is 2, I could just put the open side next to the wall, so it was like having a crib (no openings). The next year when they return, I can just turn the crib around and have the opening on the outside, letting him crawl out after he wakes up. It worked super well this year for him as a 2-year old. Looking forward to turning the bed around for the “big boy” that he will be next year when he turns 3. 🤗 ... show more

** updating my review I was in touch with the customer service and they got me there eplacement part ASAP with no issues so Over all extremely happy with my purchase product is super light weight which is good, but the top of the end hand rail is cracked almost clear through

Overall, the bed is perfect for what we needed. But it took me over 2 hours to put it together. The bottom part of the bed is all individual pieces. The not all of the slats were long enough to fit into the slot holes. You have to put the slats in the holes on one side of the frame and then try to then put them in the holes of the other side of the frame, all while trying to fasten the frame pieces together. This is a very nice looking toddler bed. My only complaint is that I wish the boards were a little sturdier. I leaned on the bed to rub my daughters back as she fell asleep and cracked one of the boards. I barely put weight on it as I was sitting on the floor. So don't do that and you'll be fine lol. She initially fell out of this bed twice and then maybe 2 more times in the few months that we had it. So we made sure to put pillows down near the entrance. She very much enjoys this bed though. ... show more
