I had some old fountain pens and speedball pen nibs from the 1970s (yes I am old), that I wanted to refurbish. So I used this to clean the nibs and other parts of the fountain pens that had old dried up ink. I had tried home solutions and ink out of some of the nibs, but then I saw this on a web site. After trying for days to get ink flowing through my clogged fountain pen nib, I read about this product. It arrived today. I placed a small amount in a narrow glass, soaked the pen nib for about 15 seconds, held the nib under warm running water to rinse it clear and it was ready to use.     • Will soften cured india ink
Given a couple days it will soften india ink. It'll still take a bit of elbow grease to clean nibs or pens but its much better than any other method I've found for clearing cured india ink.

    • Ineffective, and no list of what it contains
I don't like the fact that the product doesn't have a list of its contents. It smells like a popular glass cleaner, and doesn't work as well as warm water with a little dishwashing liquid. I wouldn't recommend it.

Really great cleaner! Not only did it remove new ink, but it removed old ink I thought was stained on my pen nibs! Didn’t even need to use much for a great result. Will definitely buy again when I need it!

I love the inks by Dr Ph Martin, however I managed to get some on my fingers. This cleaner works so easily to remove the dried ink and it was gentle on my skin.
