✨ Hydrating Glow Stick with No Irritation! 🍊
Color: Mela-C·E Size: 0.35 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I’ve been using this multi-balm for about a week, every other day, mainly focusing on my under-eye area, upper lip, and a few small dark marks around my face. Since it contains retinol, vitamin C, vitamin E, and ferulic acid, I’m giving it time to see how it works for my dark spots, dark circles, and fine lines. I haven’t noticed any drastic or immediate changes yet, but I honestly wasn’t expecting overnight results. What I really like so far is that I haven’t experienced any irritation or negative reaction, even when using it under my eyes, which is one of my main skincare concerns. It feels very smooth and glides across the skin effortlessly. It’s also surprisingly hydrating and gives the skin a beautiful, noticeable glow without an unpleasant smell. The balm has a pretty orangey color and you get a generous amount of product, so I can already tell this is going to last a long time if used properly. 🍊✨ Overall, I’m enjoying it so far. I can’t speak on the long-term dark spot or anti-aging results yet because I’ve only been using it for a week, but the hydration, glow, smooth application, and lack of irritation have definitely impressed me. I’ll continue using it and give it more time to see what kind of results I get! ... show more

Light and brightening
Color: Mela-C·E Size: 0.35 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I'm always trying to find new skincare products to get my skincare routine perfected. My current main concerns are dark spots/discoloration and aging (wrinkles, dullness). I was leery of the formulation because it was a balm, which is typically heavy and sticky. This stick, however, has a combination of ingredients that are very popular and effective for my skin issues, so I tried it out. Surprisingly, the balm absorbs very well without a heaviness or stickiness. The stick form is great for quick and targeted application, I don't feel like I'm wasting any product because I can swipe it on exactly where I want. It doesn't smell like anything to me, so no irritating fragrance issues. So far I feel my skin is a little less 'tired', but I haven't been using it long enough to see major change. I would recommend it based on my experience so far and the surprisingly nice texture it leaves. ... show more

Convenient moisturizing and concentrated anti-aging treatment
Color: Mela-C·E Size: 0.35 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I ordered the Dr.Melaxin Mela-C·E Ferulic Core Multi Balm because I already use their eye cream from the same line and wanted to add the balm to my routine. As I'm getting older, I've noticed fine lines on my forehead and some dark spots despite being diligent with sunscreen. I ordered it for myself, but then started noticing sun spots on a male family member's face too. He's getting older as well but isn't exactly enthusiastic about skincare. I've managed to get him to switch from soap to a gel cleanser, use a cream, and wear sunscreen, though reapplying every two hours is still a hard sell. Asking him to add another anti-aging step would normally be a battle, but this balm is so easy: "hold still," swipe it on the forehead, tops of cheeks, laugh lines, and marionette lines. Easy peasy. Since it has retinal, I only apply it on him at night. I can't trust that he will apply sunscreen. It's been about a week of use, so I'm keeping expectations realistic. The fine-line filling and moisturizing effect are real and noticeable, but the dark spot fading might be more wishful thinking on my part at this early stage. What has happened, though, is it's made him more aware of sun damage. Texture-wise, it glides on smoothly and melts into skin without feeling heavy. The compact size makes it travel-friendly and just an easy, convenient product to reach for. It's easy to apply it on yourself and others. I don't mean you should share. On value, at $17.10 for 10g (about $48.86/oz), I think the price is fair for the ingredients and convenience. It is also from a good brand. ... show more

Tiny Stick, Big Skincare Convenience
Color: Mela-C·E Size: 0.35 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I love skincare products that make it easy to give a little extra attention to the areas that tend to get overlooked, so I was immediately curious about this Dr.Melaxin Mela-C·E Ferulic Core Multi Balm. My skincare routine is already long enough to qualify as a part-time job, so anything that lets me target specific areas without adding another complicated step gets my attention. The first thing I noticed is the texture. This is a balm, but it doesn't feel like the kind of heavy, greasy balm that sits on top of your skin and makes you wonder if you're supposed to wipe it off later. It melts almost immediately when it touches the skin and leaves behind a soft, comfortable glow. I've been using it around my under-eye area, on areas of uneven tone, along my smile lines, and wherever my skin could use a little extra attention. I also really like the stick format. It's incredibly easy to use and makes targeted application almost effortless. I can swipe it exactly where I want it without getting product all over my hands, which feels like a small thing until you've used enough skincare products to appreciate not having another sticky fingertip situation. The ingredient lineup is what really makes this interesting to me. You've got vitamin C and E with ferulic acid for antioxidant and brightening care, along with retinal, retinol, and peptides for the appearance of fine lines and texture. It's a lot packed into a 0.35-ounce stick, but the formula itself feels lightweight and elegant rather than overloaded. I also appreciate that it's unscented. With a product I'm using around my eyes and on multiple areas of my face, fragrance is definitely something I don't need. At around $19, I think this is a really fun addition to a skincare routine, especially if you like targeted treatments and convenient formats. You don't need to completely overhaul your routine to use it. Just swipe it onto the areas you want to focus on and keep moving. ... show more

Leaves you greasy
Color: Mela-C·E Size: 0.35 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I really wish this product worked as well as I wanted it to. Dr melaxin is a brand ive trusted for quite a while now but this specific stick left me feeling greasy all day long. I couldn't use it more than twice. Its a small stick but it has enough product that could last quite a long time if you consistently used it. Ill need to find some other use for this since I dont like my face feeling greasy. There's virtually no smell to it and I had no negative skin reaction with my sensitive skin. I may even try this on my eczema spots since it feels like it would calm them very well. ... show more

This is a no for me.
Color: Mela-C·E Size: 0.35 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I love Dr. Melaxin's quality products. The tube was already broken and stayed in the cap instead of where it was supposed to be. I was able to fight and get it back the way it needed to be. I have a cheaper version of this viral core multi-balm. It works the same as the cheaper brand. It is greasy, lightweight, fragrance-free, and sits on top of your skin. It seems like it never absorbs, but just slowly wipes off. I am not impressed with this, and I don't see any improvements in my dark spots or tightening of my skin. This is a no for me. ... show more

Nice for Instant Smoothing, but I’m Not Buying the Miracle Claims
Color: Mela-C·E Size: 0.35 Ounce (Pack of 1)
These balm sticks are everywhere right now, and I can see why people like them. They’re easy, portable, and this one does make dry areas look smoother and a little more plumped almost immediately. On my 53-year-old, post-menopausal, dry, mature skin, that part is very noticeable. Fine dehydration lines look softer, the skin gets a little more sheen, and it is especially nice on areas that tend to look dry or crepey. But I think it is important to separate that cosmetic effect from actual long-term structural change. The first part of the formula tells you a lot about what this product really is. Sunflower seed oil, shea butter, jojoba oil, squalane, meadowfoam seed oil, waxes and emollient esters are doing most of the heavy lifting. They soften the surface of the skin, reduce moisture loss and fill in some of the visual roughness that can make fine lines look more obvious. That is why the immediate result can be quite good. It is basically giving the skin a smoother, more cushioned surface, which is especially flattering on dry skin. There are also some genuinely good supporting ingredients here. Ceramide NP and panthenol are useful for barrier support, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid adds hydration, bisabolol and centella-derived components can be soothing, and vitamin E provides antioxidant support. Ascorbic acid and ferulic acid are included as well, which sounds exciting when you see “C-E-Ferulic” on the front of the package. The problem is placement. Ascorbic acid and ferulic acid appear fairly far down the ingredient list, and retinal is much farther down again. There are also peptides including tripeptide-1, acetyl hexapeptide-8, copper tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, but again, they appear late in the formula. That does not mean they are completely useless—some ingredients can work at low levels—but I would not buy this expecting the kind of retinoid, vitamin C or peptide treatment you would get from a dedicated serum formulated around those ingredients. The retinal is particularly worth keeping in perspective. Retinal can be an excellent retinoid when used at an appropriate concentration in a well-designed treatment, but having retinal somewhere near the bottom of a long ingredient list does not suddenly turn an emollient balm into a serious retinal treatment. The same goes for the vitamin C and peptide claims. What I do like is the format. It is incredibly easy to swipe over the cheekbones, around the mouth, or anywhere that starts looking dry during the day. It works well for targeted moisture without having to put another layer of cream over the entire face. I can absolutely see someone keeping this in a purse for touch-ups. There is fragrance, along with linalool, so very fragrance-sensitive skin may not love it. And anyone with oily or acne-prone skin may find the combination of oils, butters and waxes heavier than they want. On the other hand, dry or mature skin will probably get much more out of the texture and immediate smoothing effect. I’m giving it four stars because I actually do like it for what it does. It gives me temporary plumping, softness and a smoother-looking surface, and sometimes that is exactly what I want. I just would not mistake the impressive list of buzzword ingredients for a high-strength treatment. It is a very nice moisturizing balm with some added actives—not a miracle stick that is going to turn back the clock. ... show more
