I had wanted these boots for many months and so glad i finally bought them. I am a 6 to 6.5 normally so i bought a 6 and it definitely runs big. I shouldve returned for a size 5 but its not unmanageable. Ill just buy insoles. But for now ive been wearing 2 pairs of socks. I didnt want to wait for the turn around to get acsmaller size. They are comfortable. Very cute and i am happy with my purchase. The zipper takes a minute to loosen up some and im still figuring out best way to tuck laces. Right now i leave then tied and just unzip to take on and off get these boots. They arent overly bulky and no break in time at all. Get the boots! Just size down for sure. P.s. the scuffs and dirt are from me wearing them not how i recieved them. Ive had them over a month now and its still rainy and muddy where i live. Love the boots! Update: it's been almost a year since I bought these. I still absolutely love them. So comfortable. I wear them with So many things. People complement me on them frequently. I hate that I wasted catching the sale when they were $150 on the wrong size. I ordered them in my normal size (8) after much back and forth due to the reviews being split between "size down" and "true to size". Well wouldn't you know it....they were to loose and floppy. Some might be ok with it and prefer a bit of space but I'm 5'1" and they look high to me even with thick socks. The leather wrinkles and buckles. I returned them and repurchased a size 7 from popular shoe store in the mall for $50 more, ugh. They fit and feel a bit snug but the clerk reassured me that I need to break them in and they'd be fine. I've only worn them a couple times and it's a painful process but I think they're almost there. They're so cuuuute to. Pictures beside my favorite platform boots for reference. They're the perfect height and are super cute with everything! Get them but I suggest trying them on in-store first. ... show more

So I have been searching for new black boots for a while, ordering—trying them on and sending back. I had the Sinclair Black Doc Martins in the past and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED and adored them to the point I wore them practically everyday!! My old pair I was from 2020-2023 and the only reason I decided to get a new pair was that I wore out the bottom of the boots LOL… that’s how much I wore them. The leather is still in good shape… It was about that time. I tried different Doc Martin styles and they didn’t compare to the Sinclairs. The SINCLAIRs are the best in my opinion! The texture of the leather, how soft they are, how easy to break them in and ONE important advice if you usually WEAR 7.5 - 8 size in shoes, you are going to want to go one size down. I chose the 7s and there is still room for a insole if I want. Size 8 is too big!! If you like a little space then size 7 is perfect and you can wear thicker socks and zip them up and tie the shoe lace around the ankle like I do. I love the look of that!! Hope this review helps!!! I cannot tell you how much I love these boots, BUT DO YOUR RESEARCH. I read a ton of reviews and leaned towards buying my true size (a size 8). When I got them my feet were swimming around even with thick socks. I ended up getting the measurement specs from the Dr. Marten’s website and found out the 7 is what I needed. So glad I did the exchange. The 7s are a touch tight with super thick socks, but I know they’ll stretch out a little. Another warning is that breaking in these boots is no joke. The blisters I got from 20 minutes of wearing them took weeks to heal. I ended up using the Dr. Martens leather polish on in the inside heel to loosen up the leather and soften the seams (which helped!) But I also bought silicon heel protectors and these are game changers. I won’t need them eventually, but for days when I want to wear them for a long time I use the protectors and it’s a dream. All of this seems like a lot, but these boots are comfortable (maybe heavy for some) and so beautiful. I can tell they will last me a long time and the style is just right. TLDR; if you buy these be prepared to buy tools to help you break them in! ... show more

OMG 😍 I am so happy I decided to buy these. They are so cute and so comfy ! I normally have problems with a lot of shoes and sneakers (especially since I broke my foot) but they are true to size, I don’t think they feel heavy at all, and the bonus is that they add height to my 5ft body! I have another pair also with buckles and they are also true to size, and very comfortable. In fact, I love them so much that I hate taking them off! I originally bought these in a size 9, same as my Chelsea Boots and a pair of sandals that I live in. They were CLOWN SHOES big on me. So many people said these run true to size, and I wear a 9 in pretty much everything (again, including my other Docs). The tongue on these feels slightly snug on the top of my foot, but I think in time will stretch like my others. They are super cute, chunky, and I like that I can buy floofy superfluous laces and rely on the zipper for closure. ... show more
