I absolutely love these shoes. I own several styles of Dr. Martens shoes including burgundy oxfords and cherry boots, but I gravitated towards these boots because of the silver color mixed with hints of greens, pinks and blues. Just a heads up, the product page lists the item as Men's, but when you put the shoes in your shopping cart, it changes the product listing to Women's. As I have worn Dr. Martens shoes in either Men's or Women's styles, it doesn't matter to me except for trying to determine the correct size! I wear a size 10 US Women's which is a size 8 UK, and it feels great.

Same good quality DM's. The title of the color is "oil slick", and the similarity is striking. The colors reflect back as metallic pinks, silvers, mint greens, and even a pastel purples. The surface, however, is not smooth: it has a crackle appearance and feel, similar to metallic leafing. Do not be worried though: there is no risk of the covering coming off. Underneath is the traditional DM leather (not made in England, but the same construction and sturdiness), meaning these need to be broken in the same as all leather DM's. As always, the breaking in period is worth it. I have received many compliments so far. The coloring is very feminine, and with the whole unicorn craze ravaging everything in the country from drinks to nursery design, this is a more sedate way to keep your colors without conforming to the fad fever.

Too large. Had to return them. 4 stars because they are beautiful boots and the Pascal's are certainly softer than the usual doc martens. I mostly wear a 10; the ad noted they were women's docs. The label inside the boot listed said they were men's and felt like it. Others have reviewed the women's shoe fits more and looks more like a women's shoe. So, returned them.

I love Dr. Marten boots/shoes...you name it. I have multiple pairs of boots and wanted something absolutely blue and here it is. The color is wonderful and I get comments/compliments on them all the time. The only think I had to get used to was the height of the boot. All of my other Dr. Marten boots are taller than this boot, so the heights took some getting used to. I guess it's because of the patent leather that this boot was the only Dr. Marten I've ever had that had to be 'broken in'. All other pairs I have were a softer leather that felt broken in the first time I put them on. This one is stiffer and certain activities, walking up or down stairs, driving, would cause the back of my lower calf to collide with the edge of the boot..a sensation I had not dealt with before with any other pair I own. I didn't really even notice it much until the next day when I realized the back of my leg was sore and actually slightly bruised. But that didn't stop me....I wore them again and they felt fine. I think I wore them about 3 whole days before they started to feel like they were working with me, not against me. Now I want more in other colors. These boots are just so sweet! They go with just about everything. I wear a US size 5 which means a women's size 3 in Dr. Martens. The size on these boots was the same but slightly more snug, probably because of the stiffness of the leather. I imagine they will work themselves to loosen up as I wear them. This did not cause me a problem, I can still wear them and they fit fine, I just wear a slightly thinner sock, but the size is still true for me.

1: Never got this order because the seller claimed they had a mismatched pair. (This came up in a lot of other reviews -- orders that had to be canceled.) I'd avoid this seller if possible. 2: I bought the boots elsewhere. I have a lot of Doc Martens shoes, and bought the same size in the boots, but they're VERY tight across the top of my foot, and if I were able to walk in them, I think they'd be a bit short, too. I didn't realize DM boots were sized smaller than shoes. Disappointed overall.

LOVE these Pascals, more so than the 1460s I have had in the past- the toe is more rounded, which I think gives them that feminine quality while still being bad ass! I always wear a US 7 in Docs and these were no exception. The only break in time I'm noticing is the way they rub my heels, but the 1460s will do that as well. The navy is awesome, quite dark, but still obviously navy to my eyes. I have been wearing Docs exclusively since the early 1990s, but when they came back into style in the past few years I felt i should retire them...then i changed my mind! I still love them as much as ever but now i switch it up with Frye and Bed Stu :) They are beautiful, and just as unique as they were in 1991! Docs are statement shoes, so get out there and make a statement! Happy shopping!
