I have terrible feet - multiple issues - and most of my footwear is super expensive. Doc Martens have a been a go-to, fairly priced and high quality alternative for not-so-basic gear for awhile now. Arch support? Check. Cushioned insole? Yes! Good look? Check! Well constructed - absolutely. So - what are some things to consider. They ARE heavier than most footwear. Even the airwaves. If you don’t like chunky footwear, these are not for you. They can feel a little stiff at first - you may even get a blister that first wear (I did not from this style). However, that usually goes away quickly. Now - sizing. Docs tend to run large - and a bit erratically. Normally I’m a fairly consistent 9.5 US. With Docs, I always need to size down. These I purchased in an 8 and they were perfection. Super cute. Very comfortable. Wore them for almost a full day without any issues. I hope this is helpful! ... show more

Love these shoes, so cute and pretty comfy. I would definitely size down, I'm pretty much always a size 9, and these are obviously size 8's. I think the price discounted price is worth it, I don't know if I'd pay the full price. Another thing, it doesn't bother me so much, but the shoes are VERY heavy(ex. My four inch demonias are 1 pound 10 oz per shoe and these are 1 pound 12 oz. Per shoe) If that bothers you, take that into consideration. This style was everything back in the day I remember wearing similar styles of shoes to elevate my outfits. These are even better because they are so well made and beautiful. These look cute with or without socks showing. Perfect with trousers, jeans or even skirts and dresses. These are gonna be my most loved shoes I can already tell. I usually wear a 6.5, but got a 6. They’re still a touch big. They are also super heavy. But they look exactly like the pictures and are comfy so far! I got them on sale, but probably wouldn’t pay $160 for them.

These are super cute in person, clunky and heavy, but still I feel like they’re flattering. They aren’t super cushy on the inside, but they aren’t uncomfortable either, I wouldn’t wear them for a ton of standing or walking, but I’ve been wearing them around my house for about ten hours to break them in and it’s fine. The wide base makes them feel very stable, and the platform under the toe mitigates the heel height so it looks crazy high but doesn’t feel like it. I feel like they do run at least a size large, I had to size down two sizes in these, and also in the Chesney boots which share the same heel style. Or maybe they’re true to size, since I have 9.5 wide wide wide feet and always have to size up to 11 in docs to accommodate width and high insteps :P The fit on the size 9 is perfection though, they’re great for my wide feet. I had to add holes to the straps, but I always have to do that, please MaryJane strap deities, add more holes and longer straps for all the high instep peeps in the world. ... show more

Cute to look at. Have a pair of Dr Martens boots that I love. This shoe I have some issues with. It looks cute. However. It is a pretty heavy shoe, and it runs just a little bigger at the back of the shoe. So when I’m walking it’s sliding off the back. Tried inserts, including at the back to hold my foot in but the weight makes this a little less effective. Full inserts interfered with the fit on the front of the shoe. I missed the return window. Will use them for only when not much walking is required. Like I said, they are cute and well finished. Pity about everything else. ... show more

I really love the look of these Doc Martens, but be warned, they are heavy! I read that they are heavy from other reviews, and they weren't kidding! This will take some time to get used to especially since I usually don't wear a heel. They do run large, so I went down half a size. If I wear the shoes with socks, they fit fine. I just can't wear them with a nylon knee high as they would slip too much. I wanted a chunky look with my bootcut and flare jeans, and these are perfect. These shoes are solid. ... show more

These are awesome. Size down (I'm a w9 and ordered a 8). Good real leather and straps with adjustable buckles. So cute!! Comfortable to be in for hours. I'm glad I purchased for my Birthday.
