You guys- let me start by saying I’m a 90’s kid and I LOVE Dr. Martens. These are very uncomfortable and the patent leather squeaks so loud, every step 😂 You could def hear me walking a mile away and when they were finally broken in, the leather cracked across the top of the toe. Other styles are amazing and the leather is soft but I’d steer clear of patent leather. ... show more

Love the look of these boots. The patent leather tongue is quite noisy. I think I’ll apply some adhesive moleskin on top of it to see if that helps. Not super comfortable, but more comfortable than I expected. I’m curious to see what they will look like once broken in. Currently serve as my rain boots. Fun. ... show more

I got the shoes delivered to me, and of course, since it’s genuine leather, I had to lay them up and kind of maneuver with the tongue of the shoes to get the look, I wanted, once I did all of that, they fit perfect buying the right socks, helps a lot with breaking them in, the color was exactly what I wanted, it wasn’t hard to break them in the next day when I wore them for a long period of time no or sore feet. Wanted the regular gray leather, but could only find patent leather. Hoping these don't end up scuffed to heck. They're sort of a "dress doc" more than an everyday doc. I could wear these with a dress. Given the gray, can just swap laces to make the outfit. They seem a bit pre-broken-in, so hopefully won't get the creases in the shiny finish.
