I wear doc often. I found its true to size. It fits a bit stiff but it's common for doc especially it's new. Its the stander Doc shoes weight. Compared to my Birkenstock, it's a lot heavier. These are one of the most comfortable Dr. Martens I have owned. You don't have to break them in, they are soft. Before wearing I recommend spraying with rain and stain spray (crep protect) since it is suede material. I get so many compliments with these.
