These are great boots. Beautiful, soft feel right out of the box with a thinner leather than some Docs. I walked about 4 miles on a hike, then strapped these on to run several errands out and about. I felt supported and comfy despite all the steps. For fit, some cursory research revealed that these are 1460s. I referred to the company website for sizing and they recommended going up a size from my usual 7 to an 8. They are just right, with room still for thick socks inside. You do have to loosen them pretty low to accommodate your foot when putting them on, but it's worth it aesthetically to not have a zipper. I haven't tried them in wet or icy conditions yet, but based on reputation, I think they'll hold up like a champ. Recommend.

This is the 3rd seller Ive tried buying these all black, soft leather docs from and this seller finally got it right! I kept receiving the yellow stitching docs. But ladies... If you have tried ordering these (often called Womens pascal), you know how narrow they are. Order these in the unisex size if you need a little wider. The beauty of these is they are sleek and dont make your foot look huge. The all black offers a more dressy, classy look in my opinion. Oh - and you dont have to break these in due to the soft leather. So happy!

These are my absolute favorite boots I have ever worn. However, I had to work for it. You absolutely *MUST* break these boots in. The first time I wore them, I got huuuge blisters that took awhile to heal because I got way too excited to finally own name brand Docs. I got the balm from Doc Martens to soften the leather and started wearing them in small bursts around the house with thick socks. After a few weeks, they became the most comfortable and reliable shoes I've ever owned. But seriously, get the balm. It helped break them in so much quicker and easier. Plus, it helps make them look brand new now that I've had them for awhile, and the balm is reasonably priced.

I use these boots for work. I’m on my feet in a very cold oftentimes below freezing climate for hours. I appreciate the comfort these Dr. Marten’s provided. I recommend these boots as they are very comfortable just like I am wearing sneakers. The grip is perfect on ice, snow, slick rain and dry ground. The price point at this writing is very reasonable at less than $100!

Why on earth doesn't Doc Marten's manufacturer CUT the PATTERN LARGER in this area. All you need to know is to do a search on how to stretch Doc Marten's to know this is a huge problem. There are pages and web sites designed to help with this problem. I have a feeling if they made the pattern larger for across the top of the foot they'd sell lots more. I returned a pair of classics to Doc Marten online for this problem. I saw this style on Amazon with softer leather thinking this would be an easy fix. NOT SO. Even with the salve from Doc Marten's, a boot stretcher, and a hair dryer it is slow going. Good grief.

These are really nice looking and different than other Docs, but the ball area seems a bit narrow for my foot. I don't especially have wide feet or anything, but I definitely feel a squeeze happening there. Although my holo Virginia leather boots didn't need any breaking in, these definitely will, although not on the same scale as the regular Doc leather would require. For now, I'll say that these are very nice looking and I feel that they'll be comfy down the line after a bit of wear.
