My first ever pair of Docs and I see what the hype is. They are understated, not flashy but classic. Fell great, well constructed. Real leather, soft, and air soles earned the name. No break in needed. I usually wear 9.5 but got 10s and they are perfect. The inserts are thin like all shoes, so I replaced them with good inserts. ENG: Very good boots, but go with your regular size. BE CAREFUL WITH THE SIZING REVIEWS. I'm a 41.5 (LAT) or 8.5 (US), and I tried on a size 8 Dr. Martens in a store—it fit, but was snug. I read in several reviews here that this particular model tends to run a bit larger and wider, so I bought a size 8. They fit just as snugly as the ones I tried on. In my opinion, boots shouldn’t be that tight—you need room for socks and, more importantly, to walk comfortably. I suggest going up a full size if you're a half size. I haven’t worn them yet, but they look great. As for whether they’re original, everything seems to point to yes, except that the tread pattern on the sole is diagonal, not perpendicular like in other models from this brand (a minor detail, but something I read in other comments—I don’t know firsthand if it indicates authenticity). Good luck. ESP: Muy buenas botas, pero compra tu talle habitual. TEN CUIDADO CON LOS REVIEWS SOBRE TAMAÑO. Respecto de si son originales, todo así parece excepto que la trama interna en la suela de es en diagonal, no en perpendicular -como suelen ser los otros modelos de esta marca- (algo irrelevante pero que leí entre estos comentarios; desconozco de primera mano si indica originalidad). Great boots. Pre oiled and ready to go. Comfortable on the first wear. Can't say enough. These usually last me a couple years. Can walk all day in them. Not dressy, because they're luggy boots, but cleaned up they pass for casual if age-appropriate.
