Its always hard finding reviews from big guys- so hopefully I can help a big brother in need. I wear a size 14 Wide, but I took a gamble and ordered the regular 14, since that is all that was available. They fit great, I actually need to tie them pretty tight so they fit well. I have a little bit of room in the toe, which I will never complain about and the width is more than enough room. In a standard shoe I wear a 4E width, so these boots are definitely wide enough. I saw some reviews saying they take forever to break in, but they were comfortable the first time I put them on. The only thing I need to figure out is how tight to lace them at the very top since I have big legs. These boots are BIG MAN CERTIFIED!

Doc, you have knocked it outta the park, AGAIN! This month I have had the privilage to purchase 3 pairs of Doc Martens (actually 5 pairs if you count returns); and the only kink to work out with these beauties is finding the size that is perfect for you..The confusion ends here; it's time that I solve this mystery for all of you... 1. Look at the description of the docs you are interested in; are they men's? Women's? Unisex? (Btw, I have not ventured into any of the children's sizes, so you're on your own in the kiddo department)...Once you know which category the Docs fall into, choose one and stick with it. 2. If you chose mens or womens for step one, go ahead and select the particular size you normally wear in the category you chose from step one. If you are a half size, round up to the nearest whole number (if you are a mens 9.5, you should choose a size 10, like I did for the boots I am reviewing) 3. If you are interested in a unisex pair, women should go down two whole sizes (ex. I wear a womens 8; in a unisex pair of Docs, I wear a size 6)...for men who wear a half size, round up to the nearest whole number size; for men in a whole number size, select the size you normally wear. 4. Be mindful of the UK sizing that can throw an American boot lover all outta whack...if its listed as a UK size, look at the size chart, and I wish you luck! ;) In conclusion, I bought a unisex pair for myself, selected a size 7, and they were like a while size too big still...those I returned for a womens size 8, which fit perfect, therefore were true to size. I ordered my man a mens size 9, which were too small for his 9.5 foot...I exchanged those for a mens 10, and BINGO! Perfect fit for him too...I hope this helps, and if you are on the fence about this purchase, go on and treat yourself to the most amazing boots you will ever have..Thanks Doc!:)

I returned these immediately...I ignored some of the reviews that suggested these were knockoffs (fake) and I shouldn't have. They come in a repackaged box, out of the box they look like they should, but as I began inspecting them for issues that have been reported by others the first thing I noticed was that the front region of the boot is not attached well to the sole. They is far to much movement when you tug gently on the sole. I do not believe that these are real and I am confident that they would have separated at the sole after a little use. I have owned Doc boots for years and they are my go to boot when wearing jeans. Most pairs I have owned have lasted for 6 years or so with regular use. These are not the quality I know....Buyer beware....I cannot believe Amazon allows this seller to continue to sell these.

It's important to know that these roots are not normal style of 1460s. They are the silver Arcadia version leather. This type of leather is meant to rub off and reveal the color underneath which in this case is silver. A first look and you might think they are patent leather because of the extra shine. Also the leather seems thinner than standard leather. Some people have even described in as having a plastic look. Apparently they are an official Doc Marten Style. But this seller is not describe the boot as The Silver Arcadia style so you may think you are getting the original. In any case if my daughter decides to keep them I will post further

I'm from the old school Doc's era. I used to wear these shoes before your mom was born, but through the years I started searching for more comfortable boots. I found more comfort elsewhere, but always liked the look of Doc's. I never wore them as a punk rocker, just wore them with jeans like a normal person. I bought these pair of boots hoping something changed with the soles to make them more comfortable. I don't know if they did or not, but I wore these boots all day long and they felt so comfortable and the look is simply classic. I got a few compliments from people my age for bringing back a little bit of that old school. I was surprisingly impressed and happy with this purchase. I remember they used to say Made in England. Now it's made in LAO PDR. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

I really love these boots. I needed them for a specific event. I was promised a delivery on a certain day. I would have plenty of time to return them if they were delivered as promised. The driver lied and marked them as delivered when I went to track them. I thought they were delivered to the wrong house. I called and went a couple of rounds with the associate. The long and short of it was that they came 2 days after they were marked as delivered. Luckily they fit and all was well.

I would have given these five stars but..... A: one boot had been worn, the other had never been tried on. It looked odd as it took time for the other boot to catch up to the break in time of the other. Had I not needed them for an event that evening, I possibly would have returned. Also my extra pair of laces were not included. Not sure if that is still a thing or not since I haven't bought a pair in 20 years, but it was always important to me to have those.
