I’m on about nine pairs of Doc’s. I am also 45 years old and I’ve been wearing them since I was 13 so I have so many pairs from patent leather red boots, green shoes, brown shoes, black with 3 inch soles, purple eight eyelet boots, super old black patent leather shoes, two other pairs of heavy duty steel toed boots, and now these. I have to say that I took a break from doc Martens and war John Fluevog‘s for many years along with a boatload of other hard core boots and shoes. I also was a total Adidas junkie (they had to be patent leather LOL), I went through my early 10 to 11-year-old Jordan phase so let’s just say I have three pairs of original Jordans which are worth an insane amount of money but I will never part with them LOL. Before I went into my insane shoe collecting I was collecting converse like they were going out of style. back in 1986 to 1989 you could buy a pair of Converse for 20 bucks so let’s just say I had about 10 pairs of Converse (I had every color and I even tie dyed a few -I have to say yellow and turquoise with some bleach dumped on them look bad ass). Plus then they started the converse boot which of course I had to purchase four pairs of those and this was before my Doc Martin obsession. Let’s just say I still have a lot of Converse but they are so freaking expensive now that I make sure my shoes are very thought out before I purchased them. I guess I’ve always purchased so many shoes because your shoe size never changes no matter your weight or anything else of the sort-I also had a major vision streetwear and van obsession as well-I wish I would’ve kept all the vision street wear shoes because they were asked and they would last longer than converse vans and any other skate style shoe. So now that I’ve admitted that I am a complete shoe whore who has even more insane expensive pairs of boots and shoes I will tell you about these Doc’s. These docs fit like a freaking charm. Yes you have to break them in like every other pair of Docs but not as bad as you would think. They look cool with shorts and they look cool with a long pair of pants. The nylon and leather really look slick as hell together and the only issue I have is that I will have to take them to my local cobbler (everyone laughs when I say that but my local shoe repair guy) to get them waterproofed because I have heard that they can leak in the rain and I don’t want that to happen. I also am a little bit scared of Saul Marks on top of them because let’s face it I live in a climate that gets a lot of snow and a lot of salt thrown down and I certainly would not want salt stains on them. I think these were made more so for spring summer and fall as opposed to winter use. I’ve heard that some people say they are not warm and then some people say they need to be waterproofed and some people say they’re hot and some people say that they are not so it’s hard to judge in that capacity. I do have to say that these are the most inexpensive pair of Doc Martens I’ve ever purchased in my life. I did purchase a pair of used docs about 10 years ago for 70 box and those were the ones that had the 3 inch soles and the only thing I’ve had to have done to them was have them cleaned up and A tiny bit of glue on one of the soles and they are perfect now. I can’t believe I got these for 51 bucks out the door and they fit like a freaking glove and they look really cool. I’m just hoping that they don’t require an insane amount of maintenance but for 51 bucks for a pair of Dykes hat is chump change and hopefully they will last and I’m really interested in the other colors they have. The brown are cute, the green looks pretty cool, but the red look bad a$$. Unfortunately I’ve only seen the red on one or two websites and hopefully Amazon will get them if not I will definitely be ordering them From somewhere else. In my psycho crazed shoe obsessive opinion I think that if you don’t own any pairs of Doc Martin‘s this should be your first pair and if you do on any pairs of Doc Martin’s you should definitely try them on because the sizes are spot on freaking perfect and I guarantee you will probably fall in love with them.

Was a little worried when I ordered my boots because they don’t make half sizes but I’m a 10.5 went with the size 10 and it’s a perfect fit not to tight not to loose very comfortable I highly recommend

Great quality! Way too big. I normally wear a nine in vans and I ordered a nine in women’s for these docs but I need to return and get the next size down because they ran the whole size bigger for me

I can't find any faults with these boots. Doc Martens offers a few chukka boot styles with the Bonny Chukka boots being the most durable with leather reinforcements, a heavier sole and thicker canvas. Best 90 bucks I've ever spent on shoes.

These are a good indoor, boot that look nice and are fairly comfortable. I wear them outdoors, on my bike in cold weather and with 2x wool socks they manage to be pretty warm. Indoors they are breathable and comfortable. What they don't do so well is wear well for walking, especially in wet weather. They offer almost no water resistance, and they run large. Even with big wool socks on I find my foot just sloshes around inside and my heel moves this way and that, so that after a few miles I can start to feel blisters forming.
