  • I actually prefer these to 1460 boots
I now have two pairs of Dr. Marten 8 eyelet Pascal - I have monochrome red that I picked up here a few years ago, and the gold spectra. The monochrome - which are extremely difficult to find these days - are amazing. Every detail on them is red, including the stitching of the text on the back pull tab. The gold spectra boots I am finding a little tough to break in (but these are docs, after all). The gold colour is beautifully eye catching and it's a really great way to spice up an otherwise plain outfit. These are extremely comfortable boots as you would expect from Dr. Martens. I have also found the two pairs I have to be of very good quality compared to *some* of the other boots that come from the Asian factories. They are very tough. I wore the red ones every day for a year and aside from needing to be cleaned every so often, you can barely tell. The Pascal boots are my favourite of the 8 eyelet boots because they have the traditional style of the 1460s but they are a little more streamlined and not quite so bulky on the foot. They are very similar in style, but the shape is a little bit different and extremely flattering. It's hard to really see this in photos of the shoe itself, but it is obvious when you are wearing them. I actually never tie mine, either - I leave them with the laces hanging. Because they are more streamlined, they hug the foot a bit better so I find I do not really even need to tie them. I am a HUGE fan of the Pascal boot and I actually hope to purchase more of them. In fact I would not complain at all if they put out the Pascal boot in a 14 eyelet version, I am such a huge fan of this boot's silhouette/shape. They look great with leggings under a skirt or over skinny jeans. Purchase with confidence. ... show more

  • My fifth pair of Dr Martens
Size: 6 Color: Parchment Beige
I only have worn the "Virginia" "Pascal" version where the leather is soft and already has a broken in feel. I have no issues with breaking them in. I wear a size 6 and they have always been comfortable. The only issue I have with all my Dr Martens, is that my heel slips in the back. No matter how thick or thin my socks are, I still have the issue with my heel slipping. I do lace the boots up tightly, but that doesn't always help. I have not tried putting in any "heel pads" as I have not had much luck with them staying in place in some sneakers that I have purchased so I assumed they wouldn't work for me in a boot where I'm apt to push them off when I am trying to insert my foot into the boot. The parchment beige color has a hint of grey in the color. I was hoping for more of an "off white" color, but this color is just fine. If you have never tried on any style of dr. martens, I would recommend trying a pair on in a store before you make your first purchase on line. This will really help you with the sizing. They truly hold up very well and the only thing I have had to replace are the laces as they get worn and break. If you can't find replacement laces on the dr martens site, there is a great site called shoelaces express and you can "custom" order from there as well as order standard length boot laces. ... show more

  • Still the best boots ever!
Size: 8 Color: Black
Definitely not knock offs. These are great quality boots that I know I will have for years to come and get lots of use out of. True to size.

  • Very Nice boot
Size: 8 Color: Black
I wear an 8 in most boots (7&1/2 shoe) and got the size 8 which fit perfect and a small bit of room left for warm socks although they are nice and warm with regular socks, so I am very happy with them. Being a boot freak and always wanted a pair of DocMs I am very thrilled that they didn’t need any breaking in, the leather is so soft on the tongue and around the calf. My pics make them look huge but they arent its just the angle. Very much worth every penny. ... show more

  • Love
Size: 10 Color: Black
Beautiful, soft leather. Love them. A bit tight around the seam of the right foot but as leather I hope it softens

  • Forgot how much I love Dr. Martens!
Size: 10 Color: Black
Ok- I have not bought a pair of Dr. Martens since high school (20+ years ago) and I was ready for another pair! These Pascals are ready to wear right out of the box- unlike the original 1460's that require a break in period. Here's what I noticed: 1- I have a wide foot and initially the instep was a little tight. I wore them around the house to see if they would give and they did! 2- I am also a true size 10 or 41 EU. Again, at first I was concerned because my toe was close to (not at) the tip of the shoe. I tried the next larger size and it was huge. I debated. But after I wore these around the house to see if they would give- they did and they fit perfect. Keep in mind the length did not change- it was the overall give in the shoe that allowed my foot more room. I will not be able to wear thick socks, but I am fine with that. 3- The top of the Pascals have no "binding" it's just cut leather which I prefer because there's nothing to rub against by calf except soft leather. All in all I am very happy with these updated Docs! ... show more

  • Love them
Size: 6 Color: Black
The boot quality is awesome as always. I know they might look expensive but for sure it worth it. This are the type of boots that you will use forever. It runed a bit small on me so I have to go one size up.

  • Great boot - true fit
Size: 9 Color: Black
Great boot - true fit! It’s my 2nd pair and I love them. Very versatile with clothing styles. Why 4 and not 5 stars? The last Pascal boot I bought was smooth leather, normal cow hyde and it stands up when not on. This pair is a flimsier, softer and almost pebble grain cow hyde and it’s sorta weird and not very “in-keeping” with Doc Marten styling. It also had a weird country name indicated inside but further research proved they are the real deal and simply made in another part of PRC (aka China). While disappointed with the leather not being what I saw online in photos and description, I bought these and had delivered to me on vacation and needed to wear them right away. So I figured I’ll just have to keep them now and truly just consider them another variation on the original that I will enjoy. Also, worth noting, this leather is so soft and pliable that I imagine over time it’ll scrunch down and have wrinkles at the ankles and toe box perhaps… and as they warm on the feet they do sometimes feel a tad looser than I’d like but thick socks cure all. ... show more
