I've been using this shampoo for a while now. I wouldn't say there anything particularly special about it. It lathers nicely and cleans the hair. Doesn't leave any type of residue so when you rinse it out of your hair you definitely feel your hair is thoroughly clean. I'm neutral on the recommendation because it's just as good as many other lower price point shampoos.

For how expensive this bottle, it does not have a safety seal or some type of factory seal to prevent tamper. I have no idea of the product inside is authentic, especially if this is coming from an Amazon warehouse. The side of the bottle is sealed so not sure why they didn’t continue up to the cap. Label text on the silver also looks a bit blurry and doesn’t match the top and not a clear print. Most higher end shampoos has a white seal under the cap or the whole bottle is plastic covered. Don’t want to risk trying this. Maybe others will.

So far, it seems to be helping. I have type 3b hair (mostly - my hair is a bit confused) and also very dry scalp all the time. Sadly I haven't found a magical to product that fixes this but in the few weeks I've tried Dr. Groot I've noticed less dryness than usual despite the cold/ dry winter. It does lather up rather quickly which can make my hair feel dry, but once I'm styling my hair there's no notable difference. The smell to me smells like an herbal, flowery scent and I like it. The smell doesn't last long on my hair, and if the conditioner I use has a stronger smell than that also overtakes it. Overall seems to be a solid product, but I'm not sure if it's worth all the price depending on how much you need to clean your hair.
