I originally bought the size 1 nipples for my newborn son, but the flow was a little too fast for him. It was difficult for him to swallow comfortably, and he would finish the milk too quickly, which meant he needed a larger amount to feel full. I decided to try the preemie flow nipples, and they made a big difference. The slower flow gives my baby time to feed more comfortably, and he has to work a little more while eating, which seems much better for him. He no longer chokes or struggles with swallowing, and feeding feels much more natural. The silicone is soft but durable, and the nipples fit perfectly with the Dr. Brown’s narrow bottles. Level 1 was way too fast for our little one, so we tried the Preemie Flow. These are much slower and our breastfed baby handles them so much better. No more gulping or pulling off. They fit the Dr. Brown’s bottles we already have and work exactly how we needed.

these are the best nipples around, especially if you don’t want your newborn/infant to have a heavy flow rate. my daughter has a slight tongue tie, and it was really hard for her to have latched the nipple and when she did, it seemed like she was getting too much milk in alongside air and that was making her tummy hurt. so I switched to these nipples and they do such a good job and I noticed that she’s able to burp really well after a feed and the flow rate is really good. I want to share my experience with Dr. Brown's preemie size nipples for my granddaughter, who has been struggling with severe silent reflux. After numerous doctor visits and a swallow test, we found little relief, even with prescribed medication. Although we followed the doctor's recommendations closely and saw some improvement, we noticed that she was eating too quickly and choking, which only exacerbated her symptoms. We were advised to try preemie nipples, so I ordered these, and they have made a remarkable difference! Not only does she experience relief from silent reflux, but the preemie nipples allow her to eat at a slower pace, helping her feel fuller faster as her stomach can digest the milk gradually instead of all at once. The size is comparable to size 1 nipples, and the quality is excellent—just softer. The flow is perfect for all fast eaters, not just preemies. They worked great for when my baby was first born! BUT Dr browns bottles in general are not the best because the flow is too fast and the bottles leak when there too tight or not tight enough!
