I really love Dr. Brown's bottles because the anti-colic system helps my baby digest milk more comfortably. They are lightweight, easy to hold, and very easy to clean. These bottles are really the best. When I was pregnant I didn't want to believe the Dr. Brown's hype, but it is there for good reason. I also thought breastfeeding would go easy and I wouldn't need bottles...how dumb I was. Our baby was born early and much smaller than expected. My milk wasn't coming in and she was losing too much weight and had bad jaundice. We opted to feed formula in the hospital. They gave us a plastic Dr B's Options in the hospital and that worked well. When we got home, I continued to feed both formula and pumped breastmilk via bottle. I was eager to try some bottles. We tried EVERYTHING; Avent, wide Dr Brown's, Tommee Tippee, Como Tomo, Evenflo, etc, etc. Because our baby has a lip-tie, the standard/narrow Dr. Brown's ended up working the best as she could get her mouth around the nipple to form a latch (typically babies flange their lips out when feeding, but she cannot do this - so wide "breast-like" nipples never worked). This alleviated a lot of gassiness and spit-up problems. I managed to breastfeed my baby for a little while after several weeks. She had absolutely no problem switching between bottle, breast and pacifier. I don't know if that is because of the bottle itself, or introducing the bottle at birth or what. The glass of this bottle is a tank. I've dropped them several times and dented my hardwood floor with nothing happening to the bottle itself. I also use them in the Baby Brezza bottle warmer at every feed and they hold up well to the temperature shift. I don't know how they will fare when baby wants to hold them on her own, but we'll try and see. I have a set of plastic Dr B as a backup and for trips out of the house. They have leaked a handful of times, but I found that you have to completely un-screw the lid, take it off, and then screw it back on. That has worked every time. These are also great to use for storing breastmilk after pumping. I use them for this purpose with the Dr. Brown's solid white lids sold separately. Yes, everyone knows that cleaning Dr Brown's bottles sucks in a major way. The thought of having to wash 8 bottles and parts at the end of the day makes me want to crawl in a hole, but it is a small price to pay for bottles that work. I'm looking forward to the day where I no longer need to use the green vent and can just use it like a normal bottle. ... show more

As second-time parents, we’ve become more intentional with the products we bring into our home — especially anything that comes in direct contact with our baby. After recently weaning our first child off bottles, we decided to switch to glass bottles for our newborn to reduce plastic exposure as much as possible. These Philips Avent Natural Response bottles have made that transition smooth and reassuring. The glass feels sturdy and premium, but not too heavy to hold during feedings. It warms easily and evenly, and I love that I don’t have to worry about plastic leaching or microplastics over time, especially since we’ll likely use these bottles daily for many months. The natural response nipple lives up to its name — our baby has no trouble latching, and the flow seems just right without overwhelming her. It also does a good job of mimicking breastfeeding rhythm, which has helped with switching between breast and bottle. While we still plan to reuse a few bottles from our first child, it gives us peace of mind knowing we’re starting fresh with safer materials. These are definitely one of our favorite baby bottles. We have been using Dr. Brown’s bottles for our baby, and we really like the overall design and feeding experience. The narrow shape is comfortable to hold, and I especially like the internal vent system. The glass bottles also feel very nice and sturdy, and I like being able to use glass rather than plastic. They are easy to clean, and the different parts are straightforward once you get used to how everything fits together. My only complaint is that they can leak sometimes. It doesn’t happen every single time, but we have experienced leaking, especially if everything isn’t assembled perfectly. Because there are several parts, I always make sure everything is properly positioned before using the bottle. Despite that, these are still our favorite bottles and the ones we reach for most often. I really like the design and how they work for our baby. I just wish the leaking issue happened less frequently. ... show more
