These smaller Dr. Brown’s bottles are perfect for the early months when baby doesn’t need the capacity of a larger bottle yet. The wide-neck design makes filling them much easier, and the vent system helps reduce the amount of air baby takes in during feeding. They’re sturdy, comfortable to hold, and stand up well to the seemingly endless cycle of washing and sterilizing that comes with a newborn. LOL. I also like having four in the set so there’s always another bottle ready to go. A practical size, dependable quality, and definitely one of those baby essentials worth having on hand!

Best bottles we’ve tried

We’ve used this bottles for about 6 months now and they’re the only thing that helped with my daughters gas. She would take just about any bottle, but this one was easier on her tummy. We have had a couple of them leak, but it’s always been user error. I wouldn’t trust the reviews complaining of leaking, especially if your bottle is just upside down. There is probably a better way to store your bottle. They come with caps to insert inside to prevent leakage while traveling. It’s super simple. We’ve also had no issues of melting. It’s honestly a little concerning that some of these reviewers are taking care of babies but can’t properly use a baby bottle. Anyways.

110% LOVE these bottles. They saved my son from a gassy nightmare (and my sanity) — we thought my baby had colic before switching to these bottles. Thick plastic, easy to clean and assemble. Just use the bristle brushes to clean the rubber vent. Easy peasy. Have never had troubles with leaking. 3+ months of use. Would just suggest getting a pack of preemie nipples for a newborn as 1+ nipples are a faster flow. Sooo worth the money and glad I bought multiple!!

The nipple shape is right for our son because it mimics mom’s anatomy best. We love the anticolic green piece too. Some cons that I’m willing to look past because I haven’t found a better option: lots of pieces to clean, nipple leaks when upside down or in the diaper bag, challenging for baby to hold by himself due to the width.

Perfect Bottle for Newborns

I really love these bottles. The 5 oz size is perfect for newborns, and what I like most is that this capacity can be used for quite a while from birth, so you get good use out of them during the early months. My baby adapted to them very easily. The nipple design is very comfortable for the baby and makes feeding feel natural and calm. I also like the wide bottle design because it makes it much easier to mix the formula and dissolve it well without creating air bubbles. The anti-colic system also helps reduce gas and discomfort. They are easy to clean and feel very good quality. I definitely recommend them.

Works great. Prevents colic. I do prefer the smaller bottles with smaller nipples now that I am no longer breastfeeding. Bottles leak sometimes if not screwed on perfectly/ tight enough. Lots of pieces to clean.

Life changing…but seriously.

Is it dramatic to say these bottles have changed my life? Perhaps, but it’s true. My daughter is 3 months old. From day one we have struggled with feeding. We were on the triple feed cycle - breastfeed, bottle feed, and pump. It’s a lot. But piled on top of that, my daughter has silent reflux and struggled to take the bottle that was recommended to us by our lactation consultant. Thinking my daughter was the problem, it never occurred to me to change her bottle until it was suggested to me by my mother. I figured since our other bottles were recommended by our LC, they must be what she needed. This week after a long and fretful feed, I googled “bottles for babies with reflux”, saw this one and on a whim purchased it. That same evening I fed my daughter her bedtime meal with the Dr. Brown’s bottle and, I kid you not, she finished 5 ounces within 10 minutes. No crying. No choking or inhaling milk. She just happily drank it down and then was content. The days since have proven that this bottle was the change we needed. Our feeds continue to take only 10-15 minutes, whereas they seemed to never end before this. And the best part, because she is eating well, she is napping well! Who would have thought that a change in bottle was the only thing standing between me and my sanity? This bottle worked really well for us. If you are struggling with feeds, I highly recommend giving it a try. Happy baby = happy mommy and daddy!
